That's well within variance of 3 confirmation as you stated.
Depending on the sum, exchanges have the choice to use 0-conf combined with double spend proofs, but they don't because they don't care.
So the only meaningful action would be to write your exchange and suggest they use 0-conf + DPS for smaller sums.
