I'm just getting started with trading, and my goal is to turn $3k into $100k over the next 3 years so I can afford my wedding (they're expensive 😅).
I have a good fulltime job, so I can funds this side hustle. I'm not looking for a get rich quick scheme I know this takes time. I'm patient, willing to put in the work, and ready to study. My biggest problem is knowing where to start because there are so many different strategies and opinions out there.
If you've been trading successfully, what's one piece of advice you wish someone had given you when you were starting? Any books, guides, YouTube channels, courses, or Reddit threads that genuinely helped you would mean a lot.

I’m trying to find out where my account currently stands relative to the 390 options orders rule for professional designation.
I understand there’s no indicator on the web or desktop platforms. I’ve called in and spoken with the options desk and another backend team, and they’ve told me they don’t have a way to pull or share that count on their end.
I’m looking to get this escalated to whoever at Fidelity actually handles or has visibility into the 390-rule options order counts, so I can understand my current status.
Can you please investigate this on your end, determine which internal team is responsible for 390-rule options order tracking, and provide me with the appropriate contact or next steps via DM or Modmail?

This is my take on ISKs in general for US citizens (if you can even get one) - Assuming you are a US citizen, the ISK wrapper does not even shield you from US capital gains taxes. Or at least the US taxes that are above what you would pay to Sweden that year. So if your total income taxes + ISK taxes to Sweden were the equivalent of $100 USD (and you actually paid them to Sweden), but your US income + capital gains taxes (from within that ISK for example) were $150 USD to the US gov, you would still be on the hook for $50 to the US government. ISKs make zero sense for US citizens. You are getting double taxed.
