I would say that some banks are fighting back and not letting gcash totally eat into their business.
If you look at BPI*, in particular, their recent moves show -- being the first to make instapay totally free and their adding deposit/withdrawal points in gas stations/supermarket.
and unahan ko na yung magcocomment na BPI and GCash are both part of Ayala. That doesn't mean sh*t. each company only cares about its own success.

Hello po. Any advice on wherel can put my savings po. I recently saved up 10k from my allowance (this took me years huhu) I'mon my 4th yr in college, wala akong ibang income just my allowance.I have a BPI mysave up account and a maribank account and I recently learned about the pag-ibig MP2 savings. Hi OP! Claims are based on the policy terms and complete submission of required documents. Once complete na ang requirements, saka pa lang magsisimula ang claims evaluation.
Your agent will also assist you throughout the claims process. Bancassurance ang BPI-AIA (partnership between BPI at AIA) pero when it comes to resorting sa Insurance Commission magkahiwalay sila.
If you get your policy directly from AIA, claim proceeds can be credited to your bank account or released via BPI check depending on the your preferred payout option.

Yup it’s still a grey area. Di ko lang mapigilan isipin, what if, mag liquidate na ako from IBKR after 10 yrs tapos tanungin ako ng BPI kung saan galing yung pera. Baka report pa nila ako sa BIR or SEC.

took us half a year to get our CI claim from BPI AIA, and mukhang mabilis na yang timeframe na yan. Claim was filed buhay pa yung patient, namatay na't lahat, andaming kung anu-anong hinihingi doon sa online portal kineme, some of which are not even applicable.
biggest worry nga namin ay baka ma technical kasi mga wala na yung claimant.
the only positive thing was the family having a really good relationship with the bank, nung kumausap na kami ng senior agent na pwede naming pagsumbungan ng mga hinaing lalo na nga sa requirements, doon bumilis ang process.
so yeah, matagal, and mas maganda (for me) kung thru BPI lalo kung may kakilala kayo doon

I don’t know if may difference per insurance agency but sa BPI AIA afaik, either both insured value AND fund value if the insurance face value is higher, OR fund value only if the fund is higher than the insurance face value.
Take note na yung fund value is binabawasan after the 10th year to pay for the insurance and admin fee. Deductions depends on the rider nung coverage mo.
