Hey everyone,
I've spent the last few days digging into financials, order books, and sector trends for a bunch of hot stocks. I've narrowed it down to six that keep popping up as solid picks: Pricol, Deep Industries, TVS Motor, Sona BLW, Aether Industries, and Steel Strips Wheels.
Here's my quick take on each:
Pricol – This one feels like the safest bet on the list. They're #2 globally in instrument clusters and dominate 55–60% of the domestic market. Q1 PAT is up 34% year-over-year, revenue is up 23%, and the PE is around 36x. It's not just a story stock – it's real growth with a strong position in auto electronics and EV tech.
Deep Industries – This one's pretty interesting. They're almost a monopoly in gas compression in India, have almost no debt, and a ₹3,000cr+ order book backed by ONGC. Energy capital expenditure is a long-term positive. My only worry is the cyclicality – the stock has swung 20%+ in 3 months before.
TVS Motor – They're India's #1 two-wheeler maker now. EV push, premiumization, global expansion – they're hitting all the right notes. But the PE is above 55x, which is pretty steep. Feels more like a "buy on dips" situation rather than chasing it at these levels.
Sona BLW – A global leader in EV/mobility components, large-cap, and less hype today which is actually reassuring. But again, the PE is over 60x. It's a best-in-class business, but it's priced for perfection.
Aether Industries – A niche chemicals CDMO with 75% promoter holding and solid long-term contracts. But it's 8x book value, no dividend, and trading at 90x earnings. You're basically paying for years of 25%+ growth upfront.
Steel Strips Wheels – Q1 profit is up 47% year-over-year, and the PE of \\\~19x looks reasonable. But analysts were already calling this the "bull case" target just a month ago. There might be limited upside in the near term.
My personal lean: Pricol and Deep feel like the best risk-reward combo right now. TVS and Sona are amazing companies, but I'd wait for a better entry. Aether and Steel are good, but I'm not totally convinced on the valuation versus growth at these levels.
I'd love to hear what you guys think:
Am I missing anything on any of these?
Anyone holding any of these already? What's your experience?
Any red flags I should know about?
