He turned 250 million into 40 billion, I don't think anyone in a bull market could do that. "Had no risk management", he did have risk management, the problem was when he was un-winding hedge funds discovered who the big seller was and how much leverage he had, and they targeted his largest positions accelerating his sell-off. This is why the next day after his public portfolio was sold, the next day the largest positions in his prior port $BE, $SNDK, $NBIS bounced back almost triple the amount as the other AI stocks. If the funds didn't discover this, even with his leverage he most likely would have been fine and could have avoided liquidation. His risk management just wasn't ready for the ruthlessness of wall street.
I'm not sure what you mean by "picks bounced back after they went low enough to liquidate his fund"?. He lost his port, what do you mean his picks bounced back? After being liquidated to cover the margin call, his port is still up 80% YTD, meaning he is still heavily up for the year and for his investors despite the liquidation he went through.

For example I risk 40k to make 8k....but I sell puts at strikes I'd like to own the stock at
Example: sell BE <120 day put at 200 strike exp 11/20.
I use ai to run multiple models every week to to challenge my thesis on the ai build out. It continues to return 195-200 valuation (relative base case)
So I wait for best premium sell to open or roll to a later date.
Realize I have a a little more than 400k portfolio, have 300k in broad market etfs, >53 k in Schwab money market, and only actively trade a 50k sleeve.
I take profits and buy VOO, put ETF payout into Schwab checking, take out taxes and let them sit in my MMF
I never over leverage my sleeve.
I run the wheel (option strategy), compound with VOO, generate fcf with jepq/ryld, dry powder with mmf, and day trade 50k with options

As someone who knows the owners personally, I would tell you what the owner & ceo used to tell me when BE first started.. I would only buy silver eagles & PAMP 1oz gold fortuna’s bc I just loved how it looked and the novelty of it just like the guy below said whose paid premiums. He would tell me if I wanted to stack and save my money then stay away from premium gold. And also he would say to me, “who cares what the price is?” And what he meant was, as collector he never bought to flip. He will never sell at all. And so I learned a lot from him. He is like a big brother to me. We would run around together wheeling & dealing. He’s a hustler down to his core. And if you’re buying gold to save money, or preserving wealth, that’s not who he is. He’s a collector and still has Morgan with low mint marks that he’s had for 20yrs, but he’d say to me “I buy what I can afford and never plan on selling, I collect what I like and keep it. Which is really the same as billionaires with rare Art or rare books, or whatever tf! I’m sure you get the point. If it’s at or below spot, you’re totally fine. Just buy what u like and don’t ever plan on selling it. But just remember, if u do decide to sell, sell it back to BE and support my big bro! 🙌

Research and understand your local precious metals sales tax laws. Do not assume any vendor online or in person actually knows the relevant sales taxes for you. Always, always, always check the total BEFORE you pay.
Do your research BEFORE you get to the store. Understand what is the current spot price and what the items that you are interested in are currently selling for. Understand how to ping test, check weights, magnetism, and diameter.

If consistent then i say yes 2k is enough. I bet on BE (bloom energy) on Wednesday before the market close and made $4800 the next day.

Almost like that whole Ken Griffin likes AI Semis trade was a fugazi. He probably dumped the whole stake in BE today.

That's why I favor 1-2DTE at the resistance. You almost always get a pullback and premium evaporates. You can close the position then for at least 1/4 point profit, more depending on volatility. As far as if the rally continues, it has to continue 1 point to BE. So, in my example it has to increase 50% in one day relative to the prior days rally. In theory this can happen. In my trading it rarely does. You don't just do it to do it you wait until the conditions favor it. My example is relative to what you may expect to find in a 50-70$ stock. A 2–3-point move is already 5%.
