I am an Avantis funds loyalist so for me it’s AVGV but VTV is also great.

Many would just suggest VTI/VXUS at a 70/30 split, or VT. If you really want to tilt for growth, VUG sounds good. But I believe that value actually beats growth in the long run. You may want to add a value or small cap value tilt, through AVUV/AVDV.
For a one and done fund I like Avantis’ AVGV or AVGE.
If you want to take on more risk I like the leveraged fund NTSD for 1.5x exposure, but you’d have to add a few more funds to cover the whole world.

This is at least a coherent factor bet, but I would watch how much of the complexity is adding a new idea versus just doubling down on the same one. AVGV already gives you a lot of value exposure, so adding AVXC mostly pushes that tilt further rather than making the portfolio more balanced. Long term, simplicity usually survives better than a very precise-looking mix.

Actually none did. All four outperformed VOO the past year, by a lot too. Same for year to date. SPMO has additionally beaten VOO the past three, five and ten years,
FMTM has only been around since 2025, and AVXC since 2024, but both have outperformed VOO since their inception. AVGV is a just over three years old and underperformed VOO by less than 1% for three years.

Wow I wish I saw your comment earlier. It might be better than AVGV, although I might have to do more research. I wanted a global value ETF and this might be better. What factors does it utilize?

Thanks for the reply! I preferred AVGV since it was a fund of funds and I believe in value, so it was a bit easier than manually rebalancing and having to juggle more value etfs.
What do you think of 40% AVGV 30% SPMO 30% frdm? I've also been looking at CHPS for a sector bet, and AVXC to replace FRDM

Running a portfolio with 100% factor tilts means you're paying a guaranteed premium in fees for an uncertain premium in returns. FMTM costs 0.49% and AVGV costs 0.25%, which drags your weighted expense ratio to about 0.27%. If you use a core-satellite setup like 80% VTI with 10% AVGV and 10% SPMO, you'll bring that drag down to around 0.06%. Adding VTI's useful here because it gives you broad exposure to the mid-caps and small-caps that these highly concentrated momentum and value screens often skip. You'll get the market beta as your foundation, and you can still tilt toward value or momentum without betting the entire portfolio on those factors. Are you holding these factor tilts in a taxable brokerage or a retirement account?

I prefer AVUV+AVDV or COPY over AVGV for the value portion. Combining size and value factors is stronger and pairs well with large cap momentum.

This is already a pretty clean factor sleeve honestly. You're not doing anything silly here. The one thing I'd flag is that AVGV is a global all-cap value fund, so it already holds emerging and developed ex-US inside it. Layering AVXC on top mostly just doubles up your EM value weight. Fine if that's the bet you want. But it isn't really a new factor, just more of the same tilt.
On momentum, SPMO and FMTM are both US, so they overlap a lot on the same large-cap winners whenever momentum crowds into the mega caps. If you want momentum to actually diversify the sleeve, international momentum like IDMO does more work than a second US fund. And I'd go easy on 20% in FMTM when it's barely a year old. You just don't have a full cycle yet to see how that monthly rotation holds up in a chop.
Bones are good though. I'd just decide whether AVXC is genuinely a different bet, or only EM-value round two...

Long term portfolio:
40% AVGV - Avantis All Equity Markets Value ETF
20% AVXC - Avantis Emerging Markets ex-China Equity ETF
20% FMTM - MarketDesk Focused U.S. Momentum ETF
20% SPMO - Invesco S&P 500 Momentum ETF
Would this be a good long term hold portfolio with a value and momentum factor play?
My current portfolio is 20% FRDM but I'm thinking of changing it to AVXC since it is more towards value and has a cheaper expense ratio.
I love FMTM but I also think SPMO is important since it has a lower correlation.
My current portfolio is 50% AVGV 30% FMTM 20% FRDM.
