Yes, 100% agree
Actually, the best thing is to make a strategy that uncover the current market regime for the stocks that you trade, once you know that, you can pick the strategy that works only in that regime.
My point was, don't think a strategy can work all the time.
And definitely don't think it can work on different stocks, futures, currencies, etc.
It might work on MSFT,ASPL, because they share similar structure, but it might be destroyed if you plugged it to currencies or penny stocks...

What you want is to find what is the market current regime,
