The BCAT rights offering is almost upon us (9/26). As some of you might remember, I own over 15,000 shares and so have been watching closely. So far I have lost over 10%. The uncertainty is agonizing. If I sell my rights, I’ll likely make a couple hundred dollars. But what happens then? Why is there no data that report likely outcomes of rights offerings? Will the price and dividend crash or what? Does anyone have a hunch? I am retired and can’t afford to lose a quarter million.
Decades ago I lost $40k overnight on AOD. The price never recovered. But then I was working. That is why I’m concerned. Tragedy strikes sometimes. I would appreciate any input.
On a happier note, for those of you who have a stodgy growth segment of your portfolio, DELL has been popping. It’s worth a look.
