1. I fall under the 30% tax slab, so I went with an arbitrage fund.
2. I'll think about this, since I wanted to diversify against style, AMC and market cap, I went with different AMCs.

1. Schemes are ok except for Arbitrage? Why huge amount in Arbitrage? If it is for emergency keep it in Ultra short term and floating rate funds.
2. Why do you need 5 AMCs (1 fund in each AMC)? Considering keeping it in 1 or 2 AMC. Transmission process is very difficults, expensive and cumbersum. Needs multiple visit to each of the AMC.
3. Regarding 10L yet to be invested, monthly SIP is fine. If the market / fund you plan to invest crashes by 5%, then buy on dips on amounts equal to SIP and for further correction keep increase the purchase amount.

No. At this point it's got nothing to do with him anymore, it's all the SEC. As long as the SEC stays corrupt, AMC is stuck in limbo.

**Answer to your first question:**
 Pick one AMC that you're going to invest with.
Then find the arbitrage fund of that same AMC and deposit your lumpsum money there. From the arbitrage fund, you can shift the money through Systematic Transfer Plan (STP) into your chosen index fund.
Why arbitrage fund? Because you get equity taxation benefits. Short-term capital gains - 20% tax. Long-term capital gains - 12.5% tax, and that too only above Rs. 1,25,000  limit.
So better approach - invest all your lumpsum money in the arbitrage fund of the same AMC where you're investing in Nifty 50 or Nifty Next 50. Then start STP from there.
**Now, second question:**
You're earning Rs. 3 lakh per month and after expenses, you're doing SIP of only Rs. 20,000? You should increase this SIP immediately.
Tell me - why are you keeping so much exposure in small and mid-cap funds?
Keep it simple:
* Parag Parikh Flexicap - good fund, keep it
* Index fund - you're already thinking Nifty 50 or Nifty Next 50, good
* One smallcap fund - only to keep FOMO away. But listen carefully - don't let smallcap exposure go above 10-15% of your overall portfolio. Maximum 15%, that's it.
That's all you need.

Slight correction, AMC didn’t make $25m. They sold the vast majority of their holdings for $24.9m and are currently still down around $3m on their initial buy. Wasn’t a great investment at the price they got in.
