World ETFs are usually around 60% US tech companies so worth checking what the one you pick holds and then considering that when making your kind up if you want to go for a lump some or drip feed in (dollar cost average \[DCA\])

" dist only made up of solely dividend paying stocks" - not true. The dist version holds all the exact same shares. The difference is that it pays out the dividends it does get paid. Some companies don't pay though like Tesla, Amazon, Berkshire off the top of my head.
"The acc will always outperform the dist by a little bit" only if you ignore the dividends. If you reinvest the dividends. The slight delay in reinvestment of the paid out dividend probably over the long term will be very slightly in favour of the ACC version but not "always". And a really tiny amount when it does.
