Way back in the day, like 2002 or 2003, cell phones, tablets, etc were just getting started. I didn't know who was gonna be the best in each field, but they would all need accessories. I found out about a new company that used a special/proprietary type of material to make screen protectors- ZAGG. I bought many thousands of shares dca-ing from 50¢-85¢. A couple years later they developed an exclusive deal with Walmart and I sold at intervals between $10-11. It eventually peaked at $13 or so (I think, anyway. I stopped following). I still get a kick out of seeing ZAGG products in the store.
I used those funds to launch a business. It was successful, and sold in 2013. Now I work for fun, and to continue piling up to change my family tree.
When I started all this, I was making $12 running a forklift in a warehouse for an electricity meter manufacturer (Itron).
