I have 110 shares of XBCI, 30 XQQI, 20 XSPI which should work out to like $150 this month. That's $7184 worth. People will say that is risky or bad or whatever and they may be right, but right now my XBCI shares are up +$404.65, XQQI +23.36 and XSPI +$10.36. I also already captured the QQQI dividend on September 18th for $74.80, then sold for a profit of +$19.64. So my dividends this month will be over $200.

Yes but XQQI pays almost 20% a year. I hold both also but 3x more in QQQI vs XQQI. When QQQ goes up I like to see XQQI go up the same or more since QQQI lags a bit.

Yes, about 1.15 million invested between SPYI, XSPI, XQQI, MLPI, IWMI, NIHI, and IYRI. Monthly distributions total about $13,500, with only about 25k taxable income this year.
It’s hard to say on the risk. I’m diversified across equities, energy infrastructure MLPs, real estate, international. I’m worried about a major crash in equities and lagging recovery vs underlying indexes, but I’d be worried no matter what I invested in.
I think this is the best approach for now to have low income on paper, deferring taxes and covering my monthly needs until I’m old enough to draw from IRAs and start social security.
