Hurst called them Valid Trend Lines (VTL), these trend lines are more powerful than any other trend line because they are drawn upon periodic swings (peaks or lows) and these crossovers will give you highest probability of a clean entry. Imagine you take the 1 day crossover that runs into the 5 day crossover that begins the move for your 10 day crossover.
But even if you are not a cycle enthusiast, you can often visualise the rhythm of the market and see what periodic swings are there, and draw the trend line from these swings.
