Tell me you are out of touch without telling me..
Go to a store. Choose coffee packet. Tell me it is ethically produced. How do you know? You don't. And in fact, most of the coffee there probably doesn't meet the criteria. ALL OF IT. So, to not be unethical.. stop drinking coffee?
Stop buying any smartphones since again... There are not choices, no knowledge. That means you are now punished heavily since access to internet and smart phones are mandatory equipment.
Consumers do not buy products from the free market. They buy from the selection offered to them. You demand that to be an ethical consumer you have to stop consuming... to stop living, basically. That to be ethical you can not participate in this society. And you certainly can not TALK ABOUT IT UNLESS YOU REMOVE YOURSELF FROM SOCIETY.
Everyone who argues that "you use smartphone" really wants that those with critique to remove themselves and that is problem solved: voice silenced.. That is your main argument here, that i should not be saying these things since i participate in the society in the way that society allows me to. Very few of these things are my choice but something that is imposed on me. And you too. You have never actually researched what it is you think is completely possible: to consume only products that have been produced ethically. I mean... i probably should turn off my electricity since some of it comes from coal during wintermonths? That is unethical consumption too, but i have no choice: all providers use coal during wintermonths.
Investors being out of touch with reality is not surprising. Investors denying their ethical responsibility is how investing works in the first place: you invest and if the company turns out to kill puppies: no one blames you. That is your moral shield against everything and anyone who points that this not remove your responsibility to invest ethically has to move out from the society and basically, starve themselves, freeze themselve to death.

If you can't answer these 6 questions about your options trade, you're not trading, you're gambling.
Here's the exact checklist I run before every position:
1️⃣ DELTA - Exposure Check: "Is my exposure appropriate for my conviction level?"
High conviction? → 0.55-0.70 delta
Medium conviction? → 0.40-0.55 delta
Low conviction/lottery ticket? → 0.20-0.35 delta
2️⃣ GAMMA - Movement Thesis "Do I want rapid repositioning or stability?"
Expecting a clean breakout? → High gamma
Expecting chop then breakout? → Low gamma
Uncertain environment? → Mid gamma
3️⃣ THETA - Time Allocation "Am I comfortable with this daily decay rate?"
Timeframe matches expiration? ✅
Paying $50/day for a 30-day thesis? ✅
Paying $100/day for a "might happen soon"? ❌
4️⃣ VEGA - IV Environment "Is the current IV high or low? Am I positioned correctly?"
IV at 20th percentile + expecting event? → Buy (vega positive)
IV at 80th percentile after event? → Sell (vega negative)
IV at 50th percentile? → Neutral
5️⃣ CHARM - Holding Period Impact "How will my delta shift over my holding period?"
Multi-day hold? → Factor in charm decay
Near expiration? → Charm accelerates
Far dated? → Minimal charm impact
6️⃣ VANNA - Volatility Scenario "If vol spikes or crashes, how does that change my exposure?"
Buying with potential vol spike? → Vanna helps Delta
Buying into vol crush? → Vanna hurts delta
Neutral IV environment? → Minimal vanna impact
THE FAIL-SAFE:
If you can't confidently answer all 6, you don't understand your position.
And if you don't understand your position, you're not coaching, you're spectating.
REAL TALK:
This checklist takes 2 minutes. It's prevented me from taking dozens of trades that "looked good" but had misaligned Greeks.
Your Move:
Screenshot this checklist. Run it on your next 3 trade ideas. I bet at least one fails the test. That's the trade that would have been directionally right but financially wrong.
Are you running a pre-trade checklist? What's on it?
