I bought RKLB <5$, sold CC's at 30. missed runup to 120+

I do a combination of CSP and CC on ASTS, BE, HUT, ONDS, RKLB, HOOD, RIVN, and about 12 other stocks.
I do weeklies because of the higher premiums and quicker reaction time. The shorter time frame allow me to roll out weeks or months when trouble strikes.
I have approx 40 positions at any moment. Often I will ladder the options to blend the premium and risk.
Some stocks, do well better with CSP while others CC. RIVN and SOFI have been great on CSP while BE and HOOD I play both sides.
For the CSP, I have a graph I developed that determines the support/resistance lines based on a volume weighted average. I will set my strikes just below the support.
I got burned on one stick with CSPs. The company announced a secondary the day after I sold 4 contracts and the stock dropped 40%. I was able to roll out several months and reduced the strike by 30% while still collecting premium. If I had sold a 6 month or leaps out a year, I wouldn’t have the ability to trade time for money and the ability to avoid assignment when the shit hits the fan. I started with $25 strike a week out, moved it to $20 in Oct, and just down to $18 in Jan, collecting premiums and reducing my capital by $2800.
CCs and assignment - If the stock pops, I have enough dry powder to buy more shares, sell new CC at a much higher premium than rolling, when ITM. Then let the original shares get assigned.
To do the volume I am, I built an elaborate app to help track all the trades, calculate the timing of wait/neutral/roll based on extrinsic value and the decays of the current option vs the next one, plus directionality. There’s a robust chain grid that calculates out the premiums, profit, has the IV, Greeks, roll vs replace, etc. The graphing is pretty sweet as well although it’s not BigCharts. Monitoring the charts allows you to see trends better.

They actually have room to grow into their very high valuation. Good SPCX returns require a *massive* expansion of the space industry (or the infinite AI money printer to come to fruition) to actually be able to pay them for 1000 starship launches. RKLBs valuation really just requires neutron to be a a moderate medium term success that soaks up even just a few % points of SpaceX demand.
That’s my thesis anyway and why I own a small amount of RKLB but wouldn’t touch SPCX

No, I like RKLB long term. It was a hype squeeze though because they don’t have the profit right now to back it up, but a great outlook and keep growing their revenue every quarter

I want to also recommend RKLB. This company, Rocket lab, is essentially SpaceX’s competitor. Their stock took a hit when SpaceX went public, so it’s at a nice low price to buy at now. It is kinda risky at the moment, but if their Neutron rocket is a success, that stock price could sky rocket; pun intended I guess.
Don’t invest all your money into it, but I’d definitely say buy at least a few of their stocks
