IONQ is doing the same playbook as RKLB completely integrated. Of course quantum, they now own there own Chip Fab Skywater. Closed on a security company this week. Also the bought a constellation Capella. They have sold out their Superion 256's for next year. They have set them self up that the don't have to be the #1 Quantum, they now have an entire portfolio

I'm doing fine overall but my massive gains on NVDA stock have covered up regarded investments in space (RKLB, LUNR, NASA) and tech and memory stocks like RDDT, DRAM, DTCR, VRT.

I bought RKLB at 24 and sold at 120. Bought more at 48. Thinking about buying more now. For some reason they move with SPCX stock but really have a totally different business makeup now. I think there will be a lot of pressure on their neutron rocket development milestones and we may see a lot of downside. I really think they have a solid business, great culture and leadership. I see them as a buy and hold long term at this price, but don't expect them to have huge financial returns for a few years.

Everyone and their mom, dad, son, father, dog, husbands boyfriend, moms sister, brothers step father. Literally EVERYONE is buying RKLB, CRWV, and NBIS calls. So tempted to buy faaaaar otm puts on all of these

RKLB is still too expensive at 30X sales with no profit in sight after 20 years in business. And no, I don't think the IRDM acquisition saves their ass, they'll sill report losses.

Found RKLB in Reddit at 18 USD around the 2024 US election. Came across a post asking about how speculative that stock was where the comments defending the work done at RKLB seemed solid. Went further down the rabbit hole, looking for posts and comments from previous months and tried to understand the bull / bear cases of the company.
After this I invested in RKLB.

Price action often controls the narrative on Reddit, and I think the upvote system plays a role. When RKLB is at $150 and NBIS is at $300, they’re great companies with a future. When RKLB is at $45 and NBIS is at $116, they’re garbage and nobody should buy them. Same companies, just a different price.
That’s why I often log off Reddit in bear markets. This place doesn’t start becoming positive on stocks until after the stocks recover, but by then you’ve already missed the bottom.

Explain space stocks? Well first of all there are three types of companies: launch, satellite operators and I'll say government contractors (like Karman space). More and more it sounds like launch and satellite operators are becoming the same thing because launch is becoming constrained again with SPCX shutting down falcon 9.
The launch business was looking like a really bad business to be in for the longest time. Pretty much the only company that made profit doing it was SpaceX. Their falcon 9 launch division does print money, and along with Starlink they used the FCF to subsidize their Starship and now AI divisions. Generally it seems like a company will need 5-10 years and 5-25B to get a rocket flying. The only two public companies who have made it are RKLB and SPCX. There are many more that failed before going public.
Satellite operators seem to be the only space companies that really make money. It's a lot less capital investment to start making money and there are still a lot of unfulfilled niches. Generally the hardware costs of satellites are very low and each article can have the opportunity to serve large portions of the world depending on how the constellation is set-up. The hard part financially is getting them into space. The other huge hurdle is regulatory, both getting the orbits allocated but also receiving licenses to serve customers in every country across the world. SpaceX has a huge lead with this in Starlink but has hit walls in places like India where they're unlikely to receive approval.
I guess a subset of satellite operators is space data center companies. I think these companies are betting on a further decrease of launch cost and also a drastic change in economics for ground based data center buildouts. SPCX for instance is betting that getting power on earth for further data center buildouts will become cost ineffective or totally blocked by regulatory bodies. I don't think they think building data centers in space will be cheap or easy. They just think it will become cheaper than doing it on earth.
I think what SPCX has going for them is that they really haven't had to invest any money in space data centers other than some engineering time. A lot of their capital investment in silicon, solar panels and satellite manufacturing facilities is dual purpose for other parts of their already successful business segments. If in a few years when they start launching AI data center sats the economics bet doesn't prove out theyre already playing both sides of the split. Companies like "Cowboy Space" that are putting all their eggs in space centers can't say the same and they also have negative moat compared to SPCX.
I work in the industry and I'm heavily invested. Ask me any questions.

NewGlenn never worked, BB7 proved that. They’re not gonna give concrete details on 100BBs on an X PR, that will be tomorrow.
And RKLB has missed every piece of guidance they’ve put out. Just because Beck then says oh sorry guys here’s why and here’s what we’re doing doesn’t excuse them from the fact that they too can’t meet their guidance.

Both NBIS and RKLB are up quite a bit still since beginning of 2025

Honestly I think the question is a bit off. Reddit prob got the businesses mostly right and the prices totally wrong, and those are two different things. NBIS and RKLB still have real demand and real backlogs, the problem was everyone bought after the story was already obvious and priced like it would never slow down. Then when it did slow down there was no plan, just hold and hope. That is the part people keep missing. A good company at a silly price is still a bad buy. I could be wrong on timing though, if the businesses keep growing the prices will sort themselves out eventually, just not on the schedule Reddit wanted.

SpaceX and RKLB are leagues above ASTS. Both have revenue and proven track records to deliver, meanwhile, ASTS has missed every piece of guidance they have ever put out. Neutron is delayed, but Peter beck is good about transparency and communicating with shareholders where they currently are at, unlike Abel who is terrible with transparency.
They promised 6 a month, and if they met that guideline, they could have had multiple launches first half of this year prior to new Glenn shitting the bed. New Glenn has now been delayed again and falcon9 will be retiring.
ASTS **says** they have contractual launches up to bb100, but they have not given concrete details on whether those are passive agreements or solid bookings. I expect analysts to really dial in on their current manufacturing capability, how many are ready to ship, and not how many are in “progress.”

RKLB is kinda the odd one imo. revenue set a record every qtr this year and backlog was $2.36B in june. most of the drop is neutron slipping to 2027 after they found voids in the carbon fiber tank dome, plus the valuation was stretched. earnings monday after close should tell a lot

How are they cooked lmao? You Reddit sentiment investors show no critical thinking. By that metric **every** space company is cooked. RKLB are now 3 years delayed, SPCX has Starship delays, FLY has delays, LUNR has delays.
I’m not going to push the space is hard narrative but if every other major space company is getting delayed I don’t think you can pin it all on AST. For all we know they can make 6 a month but don’t have the launch slots.

Sell to RKLB. Move of the space century right there! Sir Peter Beck is bizarro Elon Musk.

Maybe my best luck trade this year was selling out of RKLB at $140, but not so lucky with some others

I don't follow NBIS, but RDDT and RKLB were trading at irrational levels, and are finally back to normal levels. If you didn't sell the highs, I don't know what to tell you.

RKLB isn’t wrong, it is sleeping until the neutron rocket starts happening

Which is why I'm hanging on to my NVDA and RKLB lol. I bought into NVDA in 2021 and even 2022 saw a large decline in share price that shook out a bunch of people - these things happen.
It's part of why I'm not worried too much about the recent declines.

Uhhh virtually nobody was talking about RKLB and ASTS at those valuations. Maybe one random post here and there that barely got cited/looked at. I am talking about when these stocks went truly viral on here, which is what this thread is about (when they became the most mentioned stocks). The entire website was jerking themselves off snapping up RKLB at $100 and ASTS at $60 telling insisting they had nowhere to go but up.
sentiment 0.268
Inverse Reddit? People on here were saying buy RKLB when it was $4, buy NBIS when it was $40 and buy ASTS when it was $2. People have made hundreds of millions on these 3 tickers lol what are you on about

I own RKLB but that's not how I would describe it.
Nebius management seems pretty intelligent though.

because $NBIS and $RKLB are incomparably better-run companies with competent coherent management and productive, goal-oriented dilution rather than pure-greed shareholder milking?
