I am not that wealthy and cannot - so I include bonds in my portfolio. And half my bonds are TIPS for inflation protection (can be had on the secondary market right now for an incredible 3% REAL YTM).

**The model:** The Darwinex Engine does the job of lucky vs skilful. It's all open, you can either reverse engineer it or ask our team about it. At the end of the day, it's SUPER complex so it's down to trust. Do you trust that we want you to win? That said... we have REAL investor capital and unfortunately there's this sense of entitlement among a lot of traders (typically those used to prop firms) that think our profit share of 15% is too low. If you invested $100k, made $10k profit that year on what you invested in... expect to pay 80% ($8k/$10k!) to the investment? No. We're closer to hedged funds, and our business model and payouts reflect that. It's for people that genuinely want to develop a career out of this, not someone gambling on funded accounts.
**How long of a track record?** You can't open up to investors until AT LEAST 8 months, and you have to go: New account calibration phase > SILVER "league" > GOLD "league" > investors. The first investor is normally Darwinex. Consistency with small returns > volatile big returns every time. Aim for 2% each month, you're winning.
**What to trade/how often etc?** Focus on a strategy that works. That's the winning angle. This isn't a prof firm, this is real world. No gaming of the system, build a consistent strategy.
**If a strategy deliberately changes exposure?** Bit too technical here for a marketing guy to be able to answer fully BUT how would you react as an investor? You'd be cautious initially to see how it plays out and if it's consistent. Same as how the engine will work, it'll be cautious with any big changes then adjust but not overnight. There's a lot of noise in the order flow space, and most YouTube "order flow" content is just people drawing arrows after the fact.
For the real THING, skip YouTube and go to the REAL source material first:

1. Mind Over Markets and Market Profile (Jim Dalton) .. this is *the* backbone of auction theory / market profile. Dense but worth it.

2. Steidlmayer on Markets (Peter Steidlmayer) — the guy who basically invented market profile. Read Dalton first, then this.
Get those two ideas solid (auction theory, value, balance vs imbalance) before you touch a single indicator. Order flow tools without that framework is just watching numbers flicker.
On free software (answering your actual question): you don't need TradingView. **NinjaTrader 8** is free for charting + simulation, and it's the standard for serious futures order flow. **Quantower** has a free tier, **ATAS** has a trial, and **Jigsaw** is good specifically for DOM/tape reading. For practice, run any of them in sim mode with delayed or free data and just watch how price reacts at value area edges and prior POCs.

Not trying to pitch you... just mentioning it since you asked. The books above will do more for you than any tool or course, honestly. Start there.
