So I’m super regarded but I want to spitball a smart idea I had to make money trading options. So you know how POET regularly has days where it trades up or down 20%? Why not throw $1k in calls and another $1k in puts? It’s bound to print in one direction. I’d buy the options one week from expiry and for sure POET can’t be flat for a whole week. Easy money, no?

Still pretty shocked I managed to sell the local top on POET. I think if it gets back down to 13ish, I may repurchase those exact same calls and see if we can ride the range a second time

Relatively small changes in share price cause massive premium changes too. You can buy multiple contracts also which swings profit and loss quickly. On the 14th POET went to $22 from $14 in hours. At $16 i bought 15 $30 calls about $15 each which expired on the 15th. The contracts were $240 and POET increased. During the day profit changed multiple times from $100 up to $400 for a minute. I should have sold it right then but I got greedy. It dropped until end of the day from there to a small profit. This is where theta ate it up imo. Price got pumped up again until morning start and then everything dropped which by the time I am allowed to sell them it was down in the negative by half and pretty much expired worthless. Won’t do that again or I will and just buy puts since II also guessed the price would drop

The next play is going to be whatever makes data centers run more efficiently. The biggest criticism is how many resources they suck up (land, power, water).
Look into whoever is making technology that makes this infrastructure more efficient. Then give me a list lol. POET and LITE are the first two that come to mind. Data centers will need to consume less power.
