Yup, NICE is indeed undervalued. A couple of sources I use agree with the assessment. I work in the CX SaaS space and the main threat is the SaaSocalypse story. The "AI" revenue is mostly hogwash, because there is no clear definition of what AI actually means. Usually it is just an LLM wrapper. not really agentic, doesn't create a moat in any way for NICE.
Another dynamic I am seeing in the market is BPOs are playing hardball by keeping the data store option of legacy software like NICE and overlaying it with true agentic solutions like Sierra and Decagon. A compounding factor is that NICE and legacy SaaS is stuck with legacy customers/platforms and cannot easily invest/transition into true AI. They end up carrying much higher R&D costs because you can't let go of the engineering teams that maintain the old software, while struggling to attract true AI talent because Sierra and Decagon can afford to pay them much better than NICE can as a public company.
So this may be a value play if you truly believe that management has the vision and focus to move the company fast into the AI realm.
