Last 93 years, always after midterm, market spikes \~ 18–20% in the next 6 months.
When there is a war, even after midterm markets gave higher returns in 6 months.

I've been seing a lot of bullish sentiment posts on x regarding AAOI today
Mostly regarding their qualifications for 800g and 1.6t transcievers, which allegedly have no major flaws or problems
Also a lot of rumors that AAOI are going to be supplying AMD with transcievers etc. for their Helios racks
I think that Q3 earnings very well could be the inflection point for AAOI, assuming that these rumors and reports are true
Anyways the MRVL, LITE deal calls for a repricing of the optics sector whether it goes through or not
For now we'll just have to wait for earnings and see what happens

For RDDT, I range-traded 150–180 in June/July, sold some in the 200s, then bought the post-earnings-drop at 153 avg in premkt (but the actual bottom was 135). It made sense for me to bet on S&P inclusion. I got MRVL right the previous time. Last 3months RDDT just traded in 140–160 range, I was waiting for AI deals.
I dont really believe in any stonk in particular, I try to find things where "the market is wrong" or there is a catalyst coming. I am contrarian.
Here the price is clearly disconnected from reality. It doesnt mean it will go up but the probability of that happening is higher than just buying calls on some random shit. Sentiment was always bad but I saw A LOT OF people finally selling and letting it go on Friday. That means capitulation to me.

For the possibility of a post earnings bounce, I'm holding AAPL, IREN, AMD, and PLTR.
I'm averaging down on GOOGL, META, NVDA, INTC, MRVL, and CLS. If the rally on Monday and/or Tuesday fails, I'll buy more. When they inevitably rebound, even if it's only modest, I'll still be up and riding the trend. I may ladder or I may hold for a while. Depends on how I'll feel and what news comes along.
I also scooped up some RKLB and RDDT while rooting around at the bottom of the barrel. Just for fun.

I place an order as soon as I saw the price yesterday, but before it filled I looked at MRVL and flipped the order.

Nice! I understand where you are coming from and agree. I have individual stocks as well. I do that on my own outside of brokerage investment, 401k, etc. and keep it to a percentage of my overall wealth that I’m comfortable with. I’ve been fortunate to do well with a lot of individual holdings.
We have some overlap in individual holdings. A few I have held for 1-3 years and still plan on keeping that you didn’t list:
P, OKTA, CRWD, ANET, ZS, SHOP.
I’m in cyber security. While the market freaks out about AI, I believe AI is just getting started and there are a lot of ways to play it (as you are). But I think we are going to see major cyber attacks on gigantic companies and so I am bullish on a lot of cyber companies that have true defense layers for AI attacks.
I’m watching NOW, MRVL. I almost bought NOW at $90 but I was hesitant and so I missed the nice run to $130. Obviously it has corrected this week. That’s a company I know pretty well but I sit on the fence for a few reasons.
I also believe humanoid robots will be a massive market so I am looking at a few individual names and funds there. I tend to buy with the intention of a 2-5 year hold but if something runs up 30-100% quickly I either trim position or sell entirely and be thankful for the quick return.

Bought some SMH, SOXX, CRDO, ALAB, COHR, TSM, VST (held up relatively well). Will keep eyes on MRVL and LITE next week

I usually look at forward pe and 250 day moving average. If macro environment looks ok, I add to my positions where I have conviction. But this is in my Roth and I’m holding for at least 10 years. I started doing this in 2016 and have outperformed VT by 82% in my “play money account” (which I limit to about 100k). You can’t win them all, but the pullbacks in 2018, 2020, 2024 (tariff tantrum) and 2025 (Iraq war) did wonders for my individual positions. That said, 90% of my investments are in VT or TDFs. This year I’ve added to MRVL, AMD and TSM in April, CRWD in July, MSFT in August, and Google and AMZN on Friday (first time buying AMZN). I still hold AAPL (my first stock pick in 2016, followed Buffet) and NVDA from 2020. Play the long game and be patient. I’ll be retiring 3 years early bc of my winners. 👍🏽

Excluding NBIS GPU rentals which probably is worth no more $50/share the rest are good on your list. MRVL still overpriced

GOOGL is the highest quality name there. MRVL only rips if the hyperscalers do.
ServiceNow is gonna struggle for the foreseeable future. They're already increasing prices and companies are pushing back and using them less as a result.
