The scanner is clutch cuz it'll tell me whats gapping. My eyes cant be everywhere at once as Im scouring other charts. Look at VERO on friday, I caught the break of high $4.10 around 7:15am, rode that momentum up for a 30% trade. If I didnt use a scanner, theres a good chance I would have missed that entry. The move leading up to the break of high happened in 2 mins, so even with a chart alert set, I mightve missed it and likely gotten in at a higher price on a pull back, or just not trade it at all until my next A+ setup appeared.
That was my only trade on VERO that day. VERO had good news that morning, price held above $5 leading into open, and as u can see after open, the rest of the market seemed to like the news too and that thing squeezed hard all morning.
Another setup I caught developing courtesy of scanner, JFBR around 730am. I saw the curl to the break of high developing, gain % was around 35% at that time, and look at that insane pop it made after breaking the $0.80 high, that was 80%+ in 2 mins. I didnt trade it tho. I personally dont like the price action that comes with stocks under $2, usually much more choppy than stocks above $3+. And normally $1 is such a huge level that theres a lot of choppiness. In this case, it blasted right thru it to the next half dollar mark... a bit of a rare clean move for a sub $1 stock like that
