Hey everyone,
I’m currently putting together a 5+ year DCA investment plan and want to get some realistic feedback from this sub. I know Reddit threads often repeat the same 15-20 hype stocks, so I’m trying to structure a cleaner, ETF-heavy portfolio but with an aggressive growth tilt.
I can tolerate high volatility and my goal is aggressive compounding over the next few years. I want to deposit a fixed amount every month through local brokers (fractional shares aren't fully smooth for me, so I’ll be buying whole units or equivalent baskets).
Here is the 70% Core ETF / 30% Speculative & Crypto structure I am looking to run in a 10-step cycle:
1. QQQM (Nasdaq 100 - Core)
2. QQQM
3. PLTR (Aggressive AI/Data play)
4. QQQM
5. QQQM
6. RKLB (High-risk Space/Aerospace play)
7. QQQM
8. QQQM
9. IBIT (BlackRock Bitcoin ETF for crypto exposure)
10. QQQM
Basically, for every 7 units of QQQM, I want to accumulate a matching dollar-value weight in PLTR, RKLB, and IBIT to catch that 50-100% explosive growth potential on the speculative side without wiping out my entire portfolio if they crash.
My questions for you:
1. Is QQQM the best core anchor here, or should I split it with VOO for safer diversification?
2. Given the current macro environment, is allocating roughly 10% each to PLTR, RKLB, and Bitcoin ETF too heavy on the risk side for a 5-year perspective?
3. For those doing a similar manual "basket" DCA, what are the biggest pitfalls I should watch out for?
Would love to hear your thoughts, roasts, or any adjustments you’d make to this allocation. I am very open to your suggestions. Thanks!

IBIT when BTC headed towards liquidity, and SBIT when it's going the other way, inside a Roth IRA, tax free and much easier and 100% tax free on earnings

Math wise they are almost exactly the same(only difference is a 0.25% annual fee on the IBIT etf, vs. purchase and sale fee with BTC direct. Perhaps you meant VOO vs IBIT

You should have decent exposure to Bitcoin only. Everything else is trash. Especially in the current bear cycle.
However I would just buy spot BTC instead of IBIT.
At 25, you can take additional risks.

In Italia tassazione è completamente diversa, se compri BTC 33% sulla plusvalenza, se compri IBIT 26%

I would sell the IBIT. I’m personally not optimistic about Bitcoin, I think eventually it will bleed out.

Had to go look it up. IBIT closed at $34.87.
IBIT $25 puts expiring 18 Dec 2026 are $0.91. $25 IBIT is $44K BTC.
IBIT $45 calls expiring 18 Dec 2026 are $1.34. $45 IBIT is $79.2K BTC.
I've sold the $45 calls expiring 18 Sep 2026.

Sorry but can't take you seriously when you say you are a HODLer and that the price is driven by sentiment. The price is actually driven by the underlying asset which is Bitcoin. And hey feel free to sell. I just started buying IBIT as BTC is bottoming over the next several months ahead of its next cycle.

An ample portfolio for novices I like is to just buy the few things investors watch in order of market cap, the S&P500 (67T market cap), gold (29T market cap), and bitcoin (1.2T market cap), and a healthy amount of Bonds for the above reasons.
So something like 50% TFLO 33% VOO 15% IAU 2% IBIT

It’s truly absurd to bet on poly market for bets like this if you truly believe Bitcoin will hit 40k this year.
Just buy IBIT puts expiring 12/31 and make 10-20x.

IBIT still slightly negative, but they may be done selling off for now. In all that time Morgan Stanley only had one negative day and is already Nr. 5 in terms of total holdings. Still very small compared to IBIT, but quite remarkable,
