Pretty solid for a beginner portfolio.
You’ve got good global exposure with VGS and some growth with NDQ, and the ESG angle with VESG and ETHI makes sense if that’s important to you. The main thing I’d watch is **overlap** — VGS, VESG, and ETHI likely hold a lot of the same companies, so it might be a bit more US-heavy than it looks. Since you’re Australia-based, adding some local exposure could also be worth thinking about.
Overall though, it’s a solid starting point.
One other angle some people explore alongside ETFs is getting exposure to private companies before they IPO. I recently came across the Fundrise Innovation Fund which apparently holds stakes in companies like Anthropic and Databricks. Not saying it replaces ETFs, but it’s an interesting diversification idea since most investors only get access to those companies once they’re already public.
Just one perspective though — definitely worth checking other opinions and seeing what works best for you.
