To be honest the entire idea of the electoral college seems kind of absurd. If the electors defy voters and go with someone who didn't win the popular vote it's hard to say we even live in a democracy and if they just go along with the popular vote then WTF do we even need the electoral college anyway? And that's before we even get into the whole elector scam that DJT tried to pull.
