Kinda crazy that you chose $750 strike for the short dated meta calls and $700 for the longer ones. Your losses and trades look similar to what I was doing when I lacked capital and conviction in my trades.
If you do return to options, I’d avoid anything shorter than 3 months. Honestly if you can afford it, I tend to look for delta > 700 and dont feel super comfortable holding larger positions with smaller deltas.
I’m holding similar calls to your META Jan ones, mine expire in feb and im down 36% on them. I’m not too worried about them at the moment, and I can always buy a few more to average in. I only bought 2 though so it could go to 0 and I’d be relatively okay.
If you’re gonna half or full port on anything, either do it with stocks. Or give yourself more security to hold it for longer. The way I dug myself out of the hole was with itm leap crypto related options.
Instead of moving directly with the underlying it’ll just add a little more leverage but not enough to wreck you on a DJT tweet.
The way I do it is I hold the stock and the options and if we have a bad downturn, I sell stock and buy more options. It’s worked for me so far but im wary of a larger downturn next year or 2027
