Fortress America… up a winding road... on a cliff’s ledge… is a humble “Will Rogers Shrine of the Sun” to the cowboy poet... who gave America hope in its darkest days… in the depths of the Great Depression… on the radio in the Edison bulb lit living rooms and in dark movie theaters in the heart of local townships where folks sat on their near empty wallets to escape the reality of a harsh life... for a few moments... to laugh... at the absurdity of it all... of the present darkness... where all that was left was hope… for a better tomorrow…

In the final analysis a secular republic turned empire… America... has shown the world what being “under God” can look like… renewed every morning... in a more perfect union with each generation…
What started imperfectly miraculous with the founding generation... ended with the last founders dying on same day… July 4th … 50 years later… Within hours of each other…
Coincidence? Perhaps…

I think they are driving the price down to where they can buy even more on leverage. I’m not a fan of crypto. If by "markets" you mean equity markets are at ATH most of the time. That's normal feature of equity markets. You don't understand equity risk premium I guess. And even there we're, right now they are not, frankly speaking, on a bigger we're rotational.
Meanwhile crude gave a move from 60 to 110? Gold on a good day gives what? A $50 intraday trend? $6-$8 rotations? That's $150 with 2 micros.

Dude. This market is risky. Always was. Shit happens all the time. When it was calm? 1980? 2008? Covid? If you're a daytrader olatility is your friend and source of your income. Most def I made the most recently.

Whole April rally was basically "If money then buy" trade. If you can't day trade this market you really can't day trade.

I'm a **day trader**. I have a risk controls and it takes 3s for me to be flat on every position I manage. If I get liquidated it's by design and, more or less, where I wanted.

If you are on the "inside" it's great. If you're a passive ETF-er it's been good, but as a day trader with no idea the next chaos this "person" is going to create with his decisions and tweets, it's been pretty awful. Everything is contingent on what he tweets, what he says, and manipulation/FOMO.
No thanks. I started when you may not like the POTUS, but only world macro events seemed to impact the markets. Things "kind of" made sense. Risks were worth taking.
Again, just look at the goddamn charts. They make no sense and never has this happened before. I really don't care anymore.
If I wind up like Lieutenant Dan and Forrest Gump, then it was well worth the wait, but if I got my boat on the docks when a storm/hurricane hits that seems and is inevitable at some point, my boat is going to get wrecked, and I'll regret I pretended I didn't see it coming due to FOMO and the online influence of "inflation so you have to keep your money in". Fuck that. I'm waiting as long as it takes. When it corrects like I believe it should have already, I have a far better chance of getting wealthier. Yeah, the only theory I've heard for optimism with DJT is "he loves the stock market so he will do whatever it takes to make sure it keeps going up". So I'm supposed to go on faith with that. But the reality is that macro events out of his control might eventually catch up to the markets' weaknesses and overvaluations. Sure it will bounce back, but I'd rather have dry powder ready for when it happens than be buying these things at ATHs or close to ATHs.
Here's the biggest difference for me: I started in 2024 under Biden (after his recession in 2022 which may have changed my mind but at least I'd have known I'm in a recession whereas I feel like Trump would manipulate the markets and whitewash it from the news, even cook the books' numbers on jobs etc), and from what I recall, the only time the markets really tanked were when Powell talked at his monthly meetings or on international macro events. Sometimes the reported numbers would cause reactions, but those 3 were it. But with DJT, everytime he tweets or opens his mouth and says something stupid, the market reacts without warning. You could be cruising along having a fabulous day, and suddenly the market jolts down because he said something in an interview or tweet. Biden never talked hardly; he was basically sleeping the whole time and never tweeted lol so he was a nonfactor to the market movements.
What do you think the rest of summer is going to be like? -5% more beyond the -4% right now of a correction or is this basically it, about 4% so far? Whenever a new fed chair there's usually a pullback, and they are saying 2-3 rate hikes.

Tbf, if you study the charts, many of the stocks with the most upside potential are at the same spot or lower as they were 1 year ago or even 18 months ago, and many of the bigger names have also "plateaued" in the last year. In essence, it's like there are about 5 stocks at a time that are keeping the markets up, and if you are not on the inside of the WH or the companies, then you can never know they'd run that high as they have.
Imo, DJT fucked up the markets and economy with tariffs and the Iran war, not to mention his big fat mouth and the obvious insider trading going on and favoritism he's given to ome companies. It's thrown everything up in the air. At any time, tariffs, inflation, or the war could be used as a trump card to crash the markets whenever they need to, and nothing makes sense.
I started off great under Biden's final months, and did okay in the transition, but Trump has screwed everything up. Haven't made nearly what I wanted to. Should have just gone Total market ETF, but I don't trust DJT not to cause a major recession and I'd regret putting it all in there.
