When have you seen a company/industry beg for government intervention? Everything the AI companies want the government to do for them, they could 100% do themselves, but they don't/won't. Company A fears that if they slow down, Company B, C and D will keep their foot on the accelerator. How about they take some ownership, self regulate and advance their models responsibly. I guess the alternative is some BS global treaty to slow everyone down. And I think we all know the only ones that would follow the "rules" would be us.
Data centers.....everyone wants the services that they provide with rapidly growing streaming needs, cloud services AI, etc, but those same people want to gripe about a having a quiet, concrete building housing the equipment to provide the services in their neighborhood. These things do provide jobs and property tax income. Many of them will be generating their own electricity. I didn't see the hand wringing about the impact on electricity prices when the government wanted everyone in an electric car, a billion chargers all over the place, no gas appliances....
Can't we just be happy to live in the greatest country on the planet.

I got into us and Canadian AU streaming stocks very early. It is Fin lending to miners at higher interest rate. Mining is a high risk venture as hitting gold mines is more rare than one thinks. It also buy gold dust at a discount. When DJT 101 came on board market reacted to his presence negatively. During Covid days all stocks exhibit RED except these AU stream stocks. I notice they turn green more this year. DJT 201 and his war in the Middle East contribute more uncertainty. I took 5% profit and still own multiple ones.

Bingo. This is def the primary reason. Fed independence is one of the very most important cogs in the great financial wheel. Uncertainy has been priced in since JPOW first started taking punches from DJT, and yesterday was another release valve on that downward pressure.

Personally I've spent the DJT era divesting myself of the USA anyways. I'm maybe at 30% USA, 20% Canada, and 50% rest of the world.
If you look at the S&P without the MAGS its performance has been meh. That's an awful lot of their market growth attributed to a handful of companies. And while it can lift the tech sector does it lift the rest of the S&P? I have reservations and skepticism about that.
