BSMS stands for Bitcoin Secure Multisig Setup (according to nunchuk docs). So you either created a multisig wallet or you are reading the wrong support doc.
Standard single sig wallets can be restored by the bip39 seed phrase (plus additional passphrase if set on creation)

It sounds like you have a multisig wallet that is co-signed by the Nunchuk server since you said it’s custodial. A BSMS file is the configuration file for the descriptors of the wallet and the multiple keys. This is different from a single-sig wallet that does not depend on any other keys where you just need to back up a single key (via seed words).
