BIP total revenue and assets are higher, while still growing the dividend. Is that not growing the business? Can you point to me where in the financials the business is actually shrinking?
BEP suffered from a downturn in the whole renewables sector starting in 2021, and actually did better than most. Renewables are coming back and its up 50% past year. The all time return of BEP is still extremely good.
Ill admit BPY is one example of a spinoff that didnt go very well.
Its arguable that the whole spinoff structure isnt the most beneficial to shareholders. But to say that all the spinoffs are unsustainable and diluting just to cover the dividend is a wild claim.
