It's in West Africa.
And it quietly just found oil in a place that no one else was looking.
I've been watching this company for 90 days - here's what you need to know:
13F filings just dropped.
That's when every hedge fund has to reveal what they hold.
Elliott Management, one of the most aggressive funds out there, just bought 15.6 million shares of Transocean. Ticker: RIG.
A $7 billion offshore drilling company... here's why:
Every major oil company in the world is about to lose 40% of their oil production over the next 15 years.
Why? Their existing wells are literally running dry and they haven't found enough new oil to replace it.
That's the biggest supply shortage the industry has ever faced...
When the biggest oil companies in the world start running out of oil, they don't just shut down.
They go find more. They have to.
And when supply gets tight while demand stays steady? Prices rip.
This is exactly what's already happening to copper, and oil is next:
So where do these majors go to find their next billion barrels?
Not Texas. Not Saudi Arabia. Not anywhere Wall Street is looking.
Off the coast of West Africa. Liberia, Ghana, completely untapped.
And guess who's already moving? Exxon. Chevron. Total. All of them...
Total just signed massive offshore deals in West Africa.
Exxon is finding billion-dollar barrels offshore.
Every major oil company in the world. Every sovereign wealth fund. They're all drilling offshore.
And here's the part Wall Street completely missed:
Offshore used to be too expensive. That's why everyone gave up on it.
But not anymore.
New technology lets a single ship drill TWO wells at the same time. The cost of getting oil out of the ocean has collapsed.
Which means one specific industry is about to explode:
Offshore drilling rigs.
These companies own the ships and platforms doing the drilling.
When every major oil company on Earth needs offshore production at the same time?
Demand goes through the roof - and it's happening already:
I've been covering this industry since my days with Cramer.
Studied the tech, the day rates, all the operational stuff most people skip.
Transocean was the name I knew best back then. And it's the name Elliott just bought - because they see something that others don't:
Everyone on Wall Street is chasing AI stocks at insane valuations.
Meanwhile, Transocean is a $7 billion company sitting in front of the biggest offshore drilling boom in 15 years.
I wouldn't be surprised to see RIG double or triple from here.
There's actually a particular company I want to mention here:
A tiny Canadian exploration company called BluEnergies ($BLU on TSX, $BLUGF OTC).
We actually work with these guys, but their story fits in directly...
They were the FIRST to start exploring and drilling the West Coast of Africa and locked down 2.2 MILLION acres there.
And there's one huge reason why we're excited about them:
Just look who's around them.
Total. Exxon. Chevron. Petrobras. All buying up blocks right next door.
But in Jan 2026, Total signed a deal directly with BluEnergies.
A super-major partnering with a junior exploration company. That almost NEVER happens...
For us, it was a clear signal of where these guys are headed.
