When I've created my main wallet, it was on a computer that was air-gapped, in a room without windows, nor any other electronics and then smashed everything with a sledgehammer. Building your own bank is a serious business.

Ye lol, all open-source stuff basically has a GitHub repository lol.
You can review the "commits" of any low-level system, OS, or firmware to understand how it has been developed.
However, the process of verifying security is different between an OS environment (e,g distro) where the firmware is the BIOS/UEFI (or Legacy BIOS), and a HWWs, where the firmware itself is part of the device's security boundary and the root of trust relies on the hardware architecture to secure entropy process, and cryptographic verification mechanisms.
With an OS (e.g Linux Kernel) you can "play" and experiment much more, even with something as low-level as the kernel, because the consequences are usually limited to things like system crashes, breaking the installation, or having to reinstall the OS. In most cases, you still have recovery options and backups.
But when you start messing with firmware on a HWWs, the risk model is completely different, a small mistake can potentially compromise the device, expose private keys, or make you lose all your funds permanently xD
So, the necessity and the process of verifying security are quite different

I like how we still have zero additional details regarding the status of the Chinese built DUV lithography machines that set the semi industry on fire a week ago. Lexar's CXMT produced DDR5 is hitting shelves, ok, that's confirmed. And MSI, ASUS, Gigabyte pushed out BIOS updates for CXMT kits, fine. All legit. But the DUV is probably the bigger story by a factor of ten, and still nothing leaked from anywhere? No pictures, no lowly worker somewhere along the supply chain trying to go viral with a post on wechat?

I wouldn't be surprised to see another round of bearish media focused on memory. Lexar's launch of DDR5 supplied by CXMT (despite being more expensive than what people probably expected from Chinese manufactured memory) is hitting shelves. Motherboards by ASUS, MSI, and Gigabyte recently got BIOS updates to better support CXMT memory. I think memory trades in a range going forward, and selling otm puts on MU and SNDK should provide healthy returns (or selling covered calls if you already hold those names).
