I wonder if ATAI shared with Lilly interim results for VLS 2b. It is still pretty odd to me. The patent situation is one that might have made them apt to close a deal - GHRS scored a big patent win in Europe, basically locking down 5-MeO for depression. It was challenged and upheld just recently. And GH is running the same playbook in the US as well.

Because there are $2.50/share incentives. So for instance if VLS01 starts phase 3, former ATAI shareholders will get paid $1/share they owned (which would make the value $7.75/share). With the other invectives, the max people will be paid out, assuming they hold until the acquisition, will be $9.25/share.

Why wouldn't ATAI continue to climb?

I ported ATAI stock into CMPS based on belief. Regulatory approval will be monumental for this space. 

Trimmed all my long-term ATAI position. Still holding CMPS, DTFX, and a small GHRS position. Sold HELP a while back, which turned out to be one of my best decisions. Going forward, I’ll probably be shifting my focus toward semiconductors and laser/photonics companies.

Now that ATAI is being acquired, how are you allocating between DFTX, CMPS, GHRS and HELP? Are you still buying?

ATAI. Been holding that a while and it paid off :-)

Lilly wouldn't want ATAI if it I came with known lawsuits. CA watched DFTX raise $805 Million in 3 days with JP Morgan as the broker and he knew it was over. He doesn't have the catch to catch up.

I'm not the guy you're replying to but I am surprised how low it is. If for no other reason than ego, I'm surprised ATAI would take this offer instead of waiting for like, VLS 2b readout or some other milestone to strengthen their bargaining position

So what's the play on ATAI? I own quite a few. Don't have much experience with a buyout with milestones. Hold out or take the money and run? I'm averaged around $4.

I am not going to engage in schadenfreude. I think a majority of ATAI holders expected a lot more from a potential takeout. This just goes to show how hard executing two Ph. 3 trials are going to be. Some people are taking it as a given that 5 Meo-DMT will be the superior option. People were nitpicking dose effect in COMP006 with 10 mg when they still showed some dose separation and significant durability with 25 mg. ATAI landed on 8 mg over 12 mg. This could easily be underpowered in a larger Ph. 3 trial. Tolerability is something a lot of people were glossing over. Just read some unbiased coverage and you will know this drug has serious AEs wrt reactivations.

Nice. Were about too moon a decent amount today if all goes well. ATAI got bought out showing big pharma interest in the psychedelic space. Plus news from CMPS stating there was minimal assistance during the psilocybin dosage. Meaning it’s the drug that worked not the therapy. That is massive

It's ridiculously low, ATAI had cash runway to 2029 and just at the start of phase 3. Why sell now ? It's insane.
