No, long AMD since 120ish and other AI stocks on which I’m down -40/-60. But my positivity is pointless.
One interesting take: I am seeing on X lots and lots of posts referring to neoclouds gpu availability, clusters of GPU going online and making prices drop a lot, etc Narrative against AI is strong

Not sure if this is a real tweet, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it was. Looks like it’s open season for AMD.

Hey guys,
It has been a while since my last post! Last month, I ran a contest on my YouTube channel: 'Pick 7 stocks and win $2,500.' We ended up with 750 participants and a total of 5,250 stock picks.
I broke down the results in a new video today, but I figured you would like to see where retail sentiment actually sits right now:
|**Rank**|**Ticker**|**Points**|
|:-|:-|:-|
|1|SOFI|317|
|2|APP|301|
|3|AVGO|281|
|4|AMZN|224|
|5|UBER|222|
|6|NVDA|202|
|7|CELH|185|
|8|META|172|
|9|MU|153|
|10|NFLX|146|
|11|MELI|128|
|12|GOOGL|116|
|13|AMD|115|
|14|NBIS|106|
|15|RKLB|97|
|16|NU|94|
|17|NOW|87|
|18|DUOL|82|
|19|ADBE|79|
|19|GRAB|79|
Honestly, the community picks do not look terrible to me.
* Do you think people are right this time?
* Which one looks like the best value bet on the list?
At this point, I really do not care about chasing views or subscriber counts. My channel is doing just fine, and I would honestly rather keep the real discussion right here. But if you are curious to see the breakdown with my italian accent, you can check out the video here:

Were usually way up going in also. I think we got the dump out of the way this time. If AMD confirms what we've been forecasting for this Q4 part of the ramp and into 2027, I believe it will fly.

Every once in a while I pick a top comment or post from what seem like reddit trading experts and see what their recommended stocks have done in the last year or so.
No ill will, I am not listing the user's handle, just pointing it out in the hopes that it helps someone.

it all depends on compute demand. If compute demand is strong but a neocloud gets in trouble with contracts or has really shitty business practices and declares bankruptcy, those GPUs/assets will be very valuable and the CSP can be purchased or operated profitably by another. ANd worse comes to worse nvidia and others have massive capital that can actually backstop \~50b+ worth of losses. (again, this large of a loss is incredibly unlikely if compute demand stays high).
The big issue still comes back to . . . what is the demand for compute? if we reach a tipping point where compute demand goes way down and everyone is on the edge of bankruptcy? yes, one bankruptcy could send everything over the edge.
There are other issues as well . . . say demand stays strong but capex stops increasing and demand for compute goes flat in 2027? what do you think will happen to all the huge orders everyone put in for more memory and wafers? there will be huge huge huge inventory issues, prices will tank, margins will tank, etc. AMD will undoubtedly also plummet. But they might be able to avoid the worst of it by being more price competitive and having better ROI products and take some of nvidia market share. But that would be ugly, but CSPs (depending on future purchase obligations), still might be OK.

Anyone else think AMD will beat the narrative and rise immediately after earnings? We usually dump like 3-7% immediately after earnings, then a slow & steady climb up a few days after.

Look at capitulation away from the MAs for NQ on the D1 and even the W1, Mean Reversion back to the MAs is on the cards
Plus SNDK is due for possible bullish moves,
GOOG, INTC, AMZN shittery should be priced in now
By all accounts the whole trade should be back on track from Monday and AMD was running up with momentum pre-earnings but this sector wide sell off, just pushed it down into liquidity, it should be good to go if it's a good result
....but war and midterms could be thorns in between the rose patch

You won't have Helios Racks in space, because you won't need Racks. The Satellite is the rack. And AMD is years ahead of Nvidia in designing chips that qualify for bit stability in space. Space deployment is an edge and inference use case far more than a training cluster.

Yeah, I've been tracking increasing bearish indicators all the way back from honestly July (this is when I made portfolio adjustments toward a defensive posture). But a lot of those would end up getting negated. But yeah, it's really hard to ignore how about every major index has put in a topping pattern. You have a number of the last remaining stocks that were holding things up starting to do the same. PLTR for instance has an insane shooting star on the monthly. And that huge bearish engulfer on the Nasdaq is looming pretty large over the entire tech sector now. The only thing salvaging things on Friday was a bit of a late day rally over our good ol' friend: meaningless peace deal rumors.
Memory has been one of the sectors that really put me on alert. It has just been in continuous collapse since June. Even as MU and SNDK tried to push back into bullish territory, STX and WDC had already completed topping patterns. MU is trying to hang on for dear life because it has some insulation because of their HBM, but SNDK collapses into a downtrend channel.
Another good guidepost for me has been the KORU chart. It has the most glorious topping pattern you'll ever see and was one of the first indicators to me something was changing.
So as I break out everything related to the AI trade and try to divide it into strengths and weaknesses and what has a meaningful chance at pushing us higher... there ain't much. At least from a leadership position. MSFT's chart is the only hyperscaler that is not brutal, and even that could have potentially just put in a triple top. The lesser chip trade is cracking as stuff is getting repriced from that Intel report indicating the home PC business is dead atm. AMD might just add fuel to that fire this week. That really leaves like... does this market want to just all in Nvidia for one last push up? But Nvidia just completed its own topping pattern last week... So I'm struggling to see at this point any rally as anything other than countertrend until proven solidly otherwise.
sentiment 0.984
As i see many articles talk about the argument that hyperscaler AI capex has no return is getting ridiculous.
Look at the actual business results:
• Meta's ad revenue is surging, and AMD is becoming a bigger part of its AI infrastructure with Instinct GPUs and large-scale Helios deployments.
• Microsoft is expanding its AMD partnership across Azure, bringing AMD Instinct GPUs into its AI infrastructure.
AWS grew 39.3% YoY to $46B, while Google Cloud surged 103% to $30.7B. Both are expanding their use of AMD EPYC processors across cloud instances. AWS has rolled out 5th-gen EPYC-powered M8a, R8a and HPC instances, while Google offers EPYC-powered C3D instances. AMD is already deeply embedded in the cloud infrastructure powering this growth.
And here's what people are missing: AI demand is translating into real revenue growth, higher compute consumption and expanding infrastructure needs.
These hyperscalers cannot afford to stop investing. If they do, competitors will leave them behind.
So how can anyone say there's no return on AI capex when the businesses spending that money are growing this fast?
Calling hundreds of billions in AI investment wasted capex is FUD. AMD is one of the companies positioned to benefit from this spending cycle i believe until 2030 no look back.
