Just came across the latest drill results from $EVI and they were better than I was expecting for a first pass program. The company is working on the Foley Uranium Project in Botswana and reported several uranium intercepts including 8 meters at 553 ppm U3O8, with a higher-grade section of 2 meters at 1,272 ppm U3O8. One interval even came back at 2,333 ppm U3O8 over 1 meter.
What interests me isn't even the grades it's the fact that the system is still open in pretty much every direction they've tested. North, south and east all remain open, which means they're nowhere close to defining the limits of the mineralization yet. The next step seems pretty straightforward. More drilling/more geophysics and a lot of work trying to understand how large this channel system actually is.
I also noticed management pointed out that many of the results compare favorably to other uranium discoveries in the region. Whether that translates into a meaningful deposit is another question, but it's not often you see a company's first drill program immediately lead to follow-up work.
