Interesting how i stumbled on this as i was reading a book "millionaire Teacher by andrew Hallam" he actually talked about this in this Book...DVA vs Lump sump..Lump Sum always beats the market while DCA will never get the same returns as lump sump...in otherwords someone that invested 10k ten years ago will get the 180% return while one who was DCA wil get less. I am alsonin the same position as you are and been DCA for 5 years, but it is in mutual funds(hand in face) and not satisfied one bit as it feels like it only made 4% in that time..i will most definitely be doing lump sum this year or mix it up 80%lump sum and DCA in bits
