TFSA - will not impact OAS, non-taxable withdrawal. Generally the safest option for folks with db pensions who will put them near the OAS clawback. Lots of flexibility.
RRSP - will lower your taxable income now, which will also increae CCB payouts. May cause a claw back of OAS, taxable.
Unsure of your full details but I am a married 42F, dual DB pensions. I have been contributing both to my TFSA and my RRSP. At this point we are planning to draw down our RRSPs before we are eligible for OAS to avoid the clawbacks.
Have you contributed to your TFSA previously? If not, you will have a large amount of space available for tax free growth. Something like an all in one ETF could be a good choice (there are different options depending on your risk tolerance).
