This is more about the financing side than the retail side. This isn't like $BGL on the NASDAQ where they are tokenizing existing gold. Although retail demand for the token would definitely help the cause. The purpose of this tokenization is to help companies skip through the dilutive and sleazy mess of Bay Street. Think of this process kind of like an offtake agreement to help companies get the capex needed to start mining.
It's still in an early stage to figure out the long term viability of this business model. However, in the short term, BOCA has two clear paths to investor gains:
1. It being undervalued relative to the cash value of the JV, and that the partner is willing to aggressive finance this initiative.
2. The hype potential surrounding this is outstanding. I can see a high demand for junior gold stocks frustrated with the TSXV looking to alternative forms of financing.
