Canadians need to be given the opportunity to opt out. Stop forcing me to underperform. The issue with CPP is it’s too large and cumbersome to generate any alpha because they get sized out of so many opportunities. Decreasing the size of CPP AUM fixes this.
This would be wildly unpopular however, as the goal of CPP isn’t to outperform but it’s to grow its staff and create jobs. Just another federal institution trying to prop up the economy at the cost of tax payers
