Hello!
I've been building an arcade game called ASCENT on Radix and I finally want to put it in front of actual players. It's free to play and it runs in your browser
The idea is simple: you control a glowing orb that climbs as much as possible. It's a skill game . you bounce your way up, avoid the resistances that try to drag you back down, and keep an eye on your energy bar. Before each run you pick your ultimate ability, so part of the game is choosing the power that fits your style and timing it right. Easy to pick up in ten seconds, genuinely hard to climb high. And to keep things spicy, anomalies strike mid-ascent. flipping the rules for a few seconds and forcing you to adapt on the fly.
Here's the part I'm most proud of: the orb climbs the live chart of ASCENT, a token I created on Radix, and the whole game is wired to it. The token's market cap unlocks features : as ASCENT grows, new tiers, new ultimate abilities, new anomalies and content open up for everyone. And real buys feed straight into the game as mega-boosts, so on-chain activity actually shows up in how a run plays out. The game and the token aren't two separate things bolted together : they move together.
On top of the climb, there's a fair bit to chase:
\- A cosmetics shop: orb skins, auras, satellites and trails, all minted as NFTs on Radix that you actually own.
\- Badges and special orbs you earn by clearing skill challenges, not by paying. If you're good, you collect them as NFTs.
\- Weekly contests where the top players win ASCENT tokens.
To join the contests, all you really need is a Radix Wallet plus a little XRD (very cheap atm) to pay fees when you claim rewards.
New to Radix? You can bridge funds over from other chains using Astrolescent. and the same platform also lets s whenever you want them . or do it directly from the in-game shop.
This is very much an ongoing project . I'm working to improve it and adding more content over time. I'd love for some of you to g you think!
