I keep bumping into three tribes in group chats:
• Restakers — EigenLayer / LST restake plays, 8-12% but “unknown slashing events”.
• Synthetic-dollar hunters — Ethena’s USDe (15-18%) or Kelp kUSD, delta-neutral basis trades.
• Old-school CeFi — custodial desks quoting 20-24% fixed, weekly payouts, Fireblocks custody.
To see how they stack up, I dropped the live quotes into one sheet (05-May-2025):
|Product / Venue |Quoted APY|Payout cadence ||Main risk handle|
|:-|:-|:-|:-|
|3-mo U.S. T-Bill|4.8%|at maturity|rollover, rate drift|
|USDC Treasury (Circle)|5.0%|daily|issuer gate, KYC cap|
|Aave v3 stable pool |6-8% |per block|utilisation spikes|
|Pendle ETH validator YT|9-11%|at expiry|ETH price, YT liquidity|
|Ethena USDe delta-neutral|15-18%|hourly|basis collapse, peg drift |
|Custodial fixed-rate desk* |20-24%|weekly |counter-party, rehypoth|
*105 %-collateralised loans or hedged basis; read each desk’s T&C.
Numbers move fast—add any sources I missed or better quotes you’re seeing.

with the cost of living at the moment 1 million doesn't seem enough to retire on if you live in the US, Australia, UK, Ireland, Canada, New Zeland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Singapore, Hong Kong, Monaco and that's it. If you DON'T live in those countries, you can easily retire with 1 million.

Just One word: DON'T!!!
If you want to buy alt coin, do it, but with other money that you can afford to loose. Don't sell BTC for altcoins. NEVER.

I understand not needing monero to moon and not being a moonboy... but talking about how it probably WON'T moon anytime soon is a bit much.
Value should accrue to the best currency... like water to the lowest point. IE the currency with the best properties should suck up value. It doesn't mean Monero needs to moon tomorrow but it would be strange if it didn't grow. I wouldn't be surprised to see it grow quickly.

I bet you thought the $SORRY reddit posts were finally stopping. do you really think that the dominating redditmaster community finally gave up? WE HAVEN'T EVEN LAUNCHED YET LMAO. Imagine how flooded reddit will become once we launch and fly past every marketcap level you can imagine, sorry ;). We were merely lurking on the sidelines, analysing the market and waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
As we've said multiple times... we are here for the L O N G T E R M. when will you finally realise we ain't playing around. how much more sorry posts are you going to scroll past before joining. I any case, I KNOW that you'll either join now - before the launch and make money... Or you'll be a stubborn little boy and end up joining after launch when we're at some multi million marketcap. gg to you friend.
The greatest crypto community push you will ever see is currently commencing and there is nothing you can do to stop us, so you might as well join. Why? because we're still here. look how long this community is being built up, how much effort is being put into it before the launch. so much money has already been spent, countless hours invested. If at this point you still think it'll be some type of shortterm coin or anything other than a successful big coin, then you're terribly mistaken. You just wait. that's all I'll say.
Anyway we're back for good now. With a beautiful new icon perfectly resembling the cute lil slow loris and the hype building back up with a beautiful community having fun at any time of the day.

I'm based in the UK. You're based in the UK. If I was sending you money, we'd likely be using a UK bank.
If you chose to bank with a company registered in another country that allowed illicit use of funds then that would be the same moral choice as choosing to use crypto to exchange "money".
I've owned crypto, and made money from it. Then when I took a step back and looked at how it actually worked I came to the conclusion that it isn't the future, my main argument being the morally questionable risk of using it to transfer "money" from one person to the other.
I'm not pro fiat. There are many, many, problems with fiat. But crypto isn't better. Crypto isn't the lesser of two evils.
If you're comfortable with the moral risks of potentially funding illicit activities then keep using crypto. At some point though large organisations with "company values" plastered across their websites will realise that the moral risks of decentralised crypto doesn't, and can't, align with their company values and will stop being willing to use it.
I'd say to anyone. If a terror!$T group put up a "go fund me" page to raise money for their organisation would you donate to it? No
So if there is a risk that the same group are using crypto miners to generate funds and that you could be paying that group via "fees" to process your transaction thus giving them money. That should also be a no.

Good catch, the T&Cs are def misaligned. Looking at their X, I think they’ve relaunched recently and not updated it....
From what I’ve read on their blog, their NFts don’t represent equity, debt, or any legal claim instead, they route revenue to NFT holders via staking, where rewards come from real operating businesses. More of a yield access model than a security.
The space needs less ambiguity, not more!

That’s the spirit. I could spend a week answering your questions.
But the gist of it is.
Bitcoin is a digital currency, that has no centralized entity or government that controls it. Everyone who has a computer that is mining it are keeping the network safe.
I think of it like a note book. Each page is a block. When you write “X paid Y 2 bitcoin” and “Z paid T 0.007 bitcoin” there will be a point when you run out of room on your page. So you turn the page and continue writing the ledger on the next page. Where as bitcoins pages are called blocks. They can only have so much information on them before a new block is created this happens every 10 minutes. When a new block is created 3.125 bitcoin is distributed between all of the people who mined/found the new block as a reward. Every 4 years the block reward is cut in half. So in April of 2028 the block reward will be 1.5625.
As you can see the supply for all of the people mining goes down. The opposite of what the dollar is doing. The dollar is being inflated (printed out of thin air) therefore increasing supply.
So with bitcoin every 4 years if demand stays the same and supply gets cut in half. The price goes hog wild. You can see this trend by looking at the historical graph. Every 4 years bitcoin rally’s.
Now I am not an expert and I don’t give financial advice. But I bought my first fraction of bitcoin 9 years ago when it was $640 per bitcoin. And currently that same Bitcoin is worth $102,000. My home/stocks etc didn’t do shit compared to bitcoin. That is why we HODL or hold it. The longer you hold the more financial freedom you will have.
Good luck on your journey.

Yeah, every chain is preparing for wall street for the past 8-9 years , but wall street isn't coming. The tech has been there for the past 20 years, but we still use swift. Just about every major wall st use case requires a ton of licensing. It's a very very small club and new players aren't invited. Why would people making money of holding stocks ever allow a transition to a tokenized system? Or T+0 onchain clearing?
Haven't even mentioned memecoins, but thanks for mocking me. Do elaborate what wall street case you envision will land on ethereum that will remotely need more than 10 TPS. Or maybe you know of one that has landed? Or are you just reguritating headlines?

• MicroSD Card Support: Users can encrypt their PIN using a microSD card, adding an extra layer of security .
⸻
📱 User Experience
• Color Touchscreen with Haptic Feedback: The 1.54” color display, protected by Gorilla Glass 3, combined with tactile feedback, offers an intuitive and responsive interface .
• Trezor Suite Integration: The device seamlessly integrates with Trezor Suite, enabling users to manage, stake, and trade over 9,000 digital assets .
⸻
💸 Pricing and Value
Priced at $169, the Trezor Safe 5 is positioned as a premium hardware wallet. While it offers advanced features, users of previous models like the Model T or Safe 3 may find the upgrade less compelling unless they require the enhanced security and user experience .
⸻
🧾 Pros and Cons
Pros:
• Advanced security with EAL6+ Secure Element
• Intuitive touchscreen interface with haptic feedback
• Supports a wide range of cryptocurrencies
• Enhanced backup options with SLIP39
Cons:
• Higher price point compared to other models
• May not offer significant benefits for users already employing strong security practices
