Bridging TO Solana from EVMs are slow because of finality on ETH chain. Not sure what you expect here

Rate my planned crypto portfolio:
70% ETH 20% SOL 10% AAVE
Timeframe is to buy in one year, and hold for 3 years afterwards.
Good or bad?

A couple of my faves were I was buying ETH under $10 still have a lot of it. Also I bought 4 shares of BRK-B before the BNSF purchase and they split which added them to the S&P 500. I DCAed both on the way up. I quit buying ETH when it got to about $800. I do have it staked so I'm earning more. BRK-B I quit buying at about $150 with 1100+ shares.

Changenow is a CEX that takes a cut of the spread.
Things like cowswap are DEX's that give you a cut of the spread lol.
Using change now to change from USDC ERC-20 to ETH is like with drawing dollars from a bank and then going to a dude on the street in venezuala. Who takes your dollars and runs it back to the guy who actually swaps it. That guy who does the swap gets a kick back. the guy on the bike gets a kick back. You get no kick back.
Cowswap is like going direct to an auction where multiple wholesalers are fighting over your transaction and you get true market rate.

#Scam Warning — Do Not Send ETH 🚩🚩🚩
This post boosts a profile that tries to lure you into a fake crypto multiplier/doubler scheme and scam. They claim to have a so-called "ETH bonus system." They state that if you send them your ETH to their address, they will add 1% to it and then return it to you, which, of course, is total BS as there is, of course, no bonus system, no Ethereum test, and no +1% return. Any ETH you send to this address is gone permanently -- the scammer keeps it all. Also look up the EOS address poisoning scam. This scam has stolen millions of dollars across countless variants.
**Rule of thumb**: No legitimate platform, test, or protocol will ever ask you to send crypto to receive more back. Ever.
**Also, and most important**: find the user profile that this spam post is boosting, lolbit_511, find the latest post in that profile, the one that outlines the scam, and report that post for "prohibited transaction".
If enough of us report the source post, Reddit may actually take action. Let's help protect our fellow redditors!

I swapped almost all the $LRC that I bought early at $0.41, for Loopring Layer 2 $ETH when the Gamestop marketplace opened and $LRC wasn't able to be used to buy NFT's. I ended up making a little profit by selling a few of those NFT's when the market started to turn in 2022, I still have a bunch more of them though.
Why would you put almost all of your investment portfolio into something you seem to not understand very well and why would you hold it through all the turmoil with crypto and the Gamestop marketplace in 22-23?
You haven't provided much detail but it seems like you made some very poor uneducated decisions and you're now suffering the consequences. Investing is a tough game and you MUST stay on top of ALL your trades constantly or you'll get burned, and it seems like you have.
Live and Learn or die trying. Good luck in the future.

ETH is priced on value and speculation (mostly speculation). I don't think Quantum Resistance is a valuable until it is.
Bit of tautology, but you get what I mean. It's why all the Cardano hype about being in Haskell and therefore super secure did nothing for the price. You can be as PHD verified and secure and whatnot as you like, the market doesn't care unless it thinks there is an appreciable risk to a competing chain.
It's the same reason IMO solana had a good bull and ETH didn.t Long term ETH made the right decision imo, but short medium term, Solana just had more throughput and lower costs and the market didn't think discussions over decentralization and future scaling were that relevant.

ETH and BTC about 8 years ago. The gain is nice but it is also a very interesting space between the hacks, regulation, protocol updates, dapps and many interesting people.

Realistically, there's no safe "double your capital ASAP" in DeFi—higher returns always mean higher risk. That said, some strategies with potential (but serious risk):
1. Yield farming on new protocols (early entry can offer 100%+ APY, but risk of rug pulls)
2. Leveraged staking on blue chips like ETH (e.g., EigenLayer restaking, but liquidation risk)
3. Arbitrage bots on DEXes (requires coding skills & capital, profitable but not passive)
4. Lending on morpho or Aave with looping (supply ETH, borrow stable, redeposit)
But honestly, if doubling quickly were easy, everyone would do it. Your safest bet is DCA into solid projects (ETH, SOL, BTC) and wait for the next bull run. Avoid "cheat code" promises—they're usually scams. Good luck.

This is well put here. In crypto, narratives, momentum and hype can often be the very first thing that maters before fundamentals are even looked at. And with SOL - it does have a huge ecosystem and alot of demand/volume. But even some may be surprised that SOL or even other major crypto tokens can lose their narrative overtime and/or shift elsewhere.
But at least for the next cycle I’d say sol is too strong to not have anything short of high, probably very high probability of recovering or outperforming ETH.
ETH on the other hand, it’s extremely unlikely it needs a narrative stronger than it already is with how deep its liquidity is, strongest correlation to BTC and now has ties to ETF’s too - just like BTC

I have lost over 55k USD from LRC. That was my whole portfolio.
Except buy and hold BTC, ETH I had never tried any other coins before.
And I haven't touched anything ever since.
It's been years, but still feel pain every time seeing this coin man.
How much have you guys lost?

Actually, RLUSD is natively issued on both the XRPL & ETH. On ETH it’s a ERC-20 token to work with smart contracts which are currently more in use. As of 4/1 you'll see a lot more uptick in XRPL minting due to Ripple Treasury (GTreasury) going live with Native Digital Assets accounts, but ETH and the smart contracts are still widely used and will continue to be utilized because of familiarity, popularity and marketshare. The future will be multi chain. It has to be. Hope this helped a little.

You're not wrong that meme coins tend to lead the way down. But that's pretty much what every correction looks like — risk appetite shrinks from the edges inward. Whether ETH follows depends on a lot more than just meme coin price action.

You're keeping it simple and smart - Uniswap's a go-to for ETH USDC, and minimizing movement's the key. Cold storage's the safety net and CoinDepo's yield's a nice bonus.
