Hey r/Polkadot community!
We've been discussing the power of on-chain governance and how to get more holders involved. Bifrost has been actively working on solutions, and their **vDOT Delegation Voting** is a fantastic way to participate without sacrificing your staking yield.
**What is vDOT Delegation Voting?**
It's a system that allows liquid-staked DOT holders (vDOT) to delegate their voting power to any address, or directly to Bifrost's OpenGov. This means you can stay active in governance decisions without needing to actively manage your votes or unstake your DOT.
**How Does Delegation Work?**
* **Flexible Conviction:** Delegate your vDOT with a conviction multiplier from 0.1x to 6x.
* **Follow Your Delegate:** When your chosen delegate votes, your voting power automatically follows their direction and conviction.
* **Your vDOT Stays Yours:** Your vDOT always remains in your wallet. You can revoke delegation anytime.
* **No Unintended Locks:** Your vDOT is only locked if a vote is actually cast through your delegation. If you're not delegating, your liquidity and redemption remain completely unaffected.
**Why is This Important NOW?**
**Referendum #1827 is currently in the voting process!** This is a major proposal that could significantly reshape Polkadot staking. It's the perfect opportunity to try out vDOT Delegation voting on the Bifrost Dapp.
👉 **Try it here:** [https://app.bifrost.io/vstaking/vDOT?tab=governance&type=delegation](https://app.bifrost.io/vstaking/vDOT?tab=governance&type=delegation)
**Introducing the Bifrost OpenGov vDOT Delegation Track (DVT)**
For those looking for a more aggregated approach, Bifrost also offers the DVT. This is a dedicated governance track where pooled vDOT voting power is managed.
* **BNC Holder Influence:** On the DVT, BNC holders collectively decide how the pooled vDOT votes are cast.
* **Cross-Asset Governance Loop:** This creates an interesting dynamic, forming a cross-asset governance loop between BNC and DOT.
**In Summary:**
Bifrost's vDOT Delegation Voting empowers you to:
* Participate in crucial Polkadot governance decisions like Ref #1827.
* Earn staking yield while being active in governance.
* Delegate your voting power flexibly.
Check out the Bifrost Dapp and learn more about how you can help shape the future of Polkadot!

Oh, I didn't know it was much worse before...
They trade 230+ cryptos on RevX, but they don't say how many of them can actually be withdrawn to an external address.
As of now, provided it doesn't change in the future, **we can** withdraw the followings: BTC, ETH, DOGE, LITE, UNI, AVAX, SOL, DOT, XRP and probably some others which I'm not aware of.
We, however, **can not** withdraw TON, TRX, SUI, ADA, ARB and probably many many more.
So, if you plan buying and withdrawing anything, better check in advance that it is even possible. You can buy €0.1 worth of that respective asset and check if you see it in the "Withdraw/Send crypto" list.

## Polkadot News
The referendum to upgrade to Polkadot Runtime 2.0.5 is now up for voting. This upgrade features capped issuance for DOT, Solidity smart contracts support, and two-second block times https://polkadot.subsquare.io/referenda/1828
The implementation of a hard pressure-capped and stepped supply schedule for DOT, which was approved by Polkadot OpenGov in September 2025, is part of this 2.0.5 runtime upgrade https://polkadot.subsquare.io/referenda/1710?tab=timeline
The Elastic Scaling feature, which enables two-second block times on Polkadot Hub with 2.0.5, has been battle-tested on Kusama Hub for a few weeks now https://x.com/filippoweb3/status/2008491910445641888
The Polkadot 2.0.5 upgrade also features the addition of the Proxy pallet to Bridge Hub, weight reclaim functionality on system chains, improving their efficiency, and more. Check the change log here https://github.com/polkadot-fellows/runtimes/releases/tag/v2.0.5

Hello,
This is to advise you that the Polkadot community is currently voting to upgrade the [*Polkadot system*](https://polkadot.subsquare.io/referenda/1828) to the [v2.0.5 release](https://github.com/polkadot-fellows/runtimes/releases/tag/v2.0.5).
This is a major runtime upgrade that enables [*Revive*](https://docs.polkadot.com/develop/smart-contracts/), a smart contract platform that can execute PVM and EVM contracts which are fully interoperable.
🚧 **Important note for Ecosystem builders:** 🚧
We have made some necessary changes to the EVM gas model to account for the faster instruction processing that will be enabled by PolkaVM Just In Time compile (aka PolkaVM JIT) in the future. This means that a small fraction of existing Solidity contracts cannot be deployed unchanged, but developers can keep using familiar Ethereum tooling, such as Foundry and Hardhat.
**Additional notes for Ecosystem builders:**
This release enables Elastic Scaling on Polkadot Hub to allow higher throughput and prepare the chain to switch from a 6-second to a 2-second block time shortly after enactment.
You can find more details about this change [here](https://github.com/polkadot-fellows/runtimes/pull/1048).
This release also introduces the “Hard Pressure” issuance model which caps the total supply of DOT at 2.1 billion by 2061. This is a new model for inflation that will take effect on 14th March 2026.
You can find more details about this change [here](https://github.com/polkadot-fellows/runtimes/pull/898).
The projected enactment date for this runtime upgrade is 27th January 2026.
Many thanks.

You’re right to catch that. There’s a distinction between **bridging** and **swapping**.
The $0.002 fee refers to the **transaction cost on Hydration** once your assets are already there. Because it's on Polkadot rails, execution is dirt cheap.
The 'catch' is that if you are moving ETH from Ethereum Mainnet, you still have to pay the initial Ethereum gas fee to bridge it over. But once your ETH lands on Hydration, you can swap it for anything else for that \~$0.002 price point, and you won't need to go buy HDX or DOT to pay for it. It just deducts a tiny sliver of the ETH you already have.

Well think about it the other way round. If this has been going on for years, what else is there? The customers they have been blaming when they knew it was them? The partner airlines they haven't told? The failure to disclose this to their investors, to the SEC? What they did not share during the DOJ / DOT merger approval process? There is a lot of headaches more than the $180M and a $50M fine.

No, it's inflation (newly minted DOT) that is being halved, not your DOT, nor the market cap. Currently 120,000,000 new DOT are created every single year, but we are now moving to the model shown above. On March 14th this inflation (120M DOT/year) will be reduced by 54%. After that every 2 years it will be reduced further until finally we hit the total supply of 2.1B DOT. It's similar to Bitcoin's halving model where every 4 years the amount of newly created bitcoin is cut in half until the total supply of bitcoin (21M) is reached. If you own 100 DOT now, you will own 100 DOT after we reduce inflation, nothing will change about that.

How does halving look? Does this mean that if I own 100 DOT, and the market cap half’s, I now only have 50? Exactly where is the volume halving?

If you’ve been hanging out over at r/hdx , you probably saw this coming—but for the rest of the Polkadot ecosystem, the "gas barrier" has officially crumbled.
We’ve all been there: You want to try a new chain or app, but you’re stuck because you don’t have the native token for gas. It’s easily the most annoying barrier in DeFi.
**Hydration (built on Polkadot/Asset Hub) just removed that barrier entirely.**
With their "Bring Your Own Gas" feature, the Polkadot ecosystem is finally as seamless as it should be. You don't need to hunt down HDX or DOT just to make your first move.
**How it works:** Hydration allows you to pay transaction fees in the assets you actually own. Your first deposit automatically becomes your gas token.
* **Bridge SOL?** Pay fees in SOL.
* **Bridge ETH?** Pay fees in ETH.
* **Deposit USDC?** Pay fees in USDC.
* **Send DOT?** Pay fees in DOT.
**Why this matters for Polkadot:** This isn't just a gimmick; it’s a showcase of Polkadot’s cross-chain architecture. By utilizing Asset Hub and bridge protocols, Hydration is making Polkadot accessible to anyone with a MetaMask, Talisman, or Nova wallet—without the "where do I buy gas?" headache.
**Quick Stats:**
* **Fees:** \~$0.002 per transaction.
* **Assets:** 160+ supported tokens.
* **UX:** No KYC, non-custodial, and works with MetaMask (EVM) or native Polkadot wallets.
**Getting started is actually simple now:**
1. Go to [app.hydration.net](https://app.hydration.net/)
2. Connect your wallet (MetaMask/EVM works perfectly).
3. Use the "Cross-chain" tab to deposit from Solana, Ethereum, or Asset Hub.
4. Swap away.
It feels like the "onboarding" hurdle is finally disappearing. If you haven't checked out the liquidity on Polkadot lately, this is the easiest way to jump back in.

it’s been a lengthy journey over the past decade. I’ve experienced numerous challenges since that time underground. There were moments of significant struggle, and I nearly faced bankruptcy. However, I have emerged from it all and am now 10 to 100 times improved.
The automatic trading bot plays a crucial role this time. If you possess a dependable and lucrative strategy, it’s wise to implement it in an automated bot. bot is generating around 8-16% of the bot's capital each month while im doing other things. You must cover your living expenses, and let’s assume the bot can handle that within a month. During your free time, you can occasionally engage in trading, allowing you to maintain a separate financial reserve
I think the result is not bad; the bot trades strategically. Many use indicators to measure the trend, but this strategy catches the trend in a more unconventional way, trading the trend depending on the situation. Instead of using EMA and MA, which bring inaccuracies, fakeouts, and unreliability, it switches to hedging based on the situation, recognizing the trend and deciding it’s better to follow it.
The goal is that when the bot cannot close a position on one side for a long time, the macro boundaries of the RSI shift in the direction of the trend. For example, in a trending market, RSI is usually above 50. If the upper boundary dynamically rises to between 60 and 80, the bot more easily switches to the long side when RSI hits around 60 and trades with the trend. Then, the short positions close faster, and the dynamics gradually return to a more static state, but still remain dynamic. Meanwhile, normal non-trending trading continues.
Also, the system works so that the bot trades in small portions according to its conditions. When older portions lag behind, mathematical calculations gradually bring them closer to the price to increase the chance of closing. The aim is to ensure, gradually and with mathematical guarantees, that the global take-profit percentage is not exceeded and losses are avoided by comparing old and new portions. It considers the global take-profit percentage and can only use up to 70% of it, also taking into account the size of the new portion. The greater the distance, the faster it brings the old portions closer to the price. The bot trades scalping, so it needs time to manage these portions.
And importantly, diversification is crucial. Each of the 10 bots has a unique trading profile. While one trades with a specific configuration, another might trade with a broader setup, more aggressively, balanced, or even inversely to the second bot. Some trade in ways or at times that don’t interfere with others; some focus more on shorts, others on longs. These 10 different bots create diversification so the market cannot counteract them. Even if one asset is struggling, the others hedge the risk. The market is unaware of this, which is why diversification is a powerful weapon in the market.

Grayscale just announced a major expansion of its crypto investment funds — and one of the standout inclusions is **Polkadot (#DOT)**.
This isn’t just another token on a long list. The specific lineup tells a deeper story about where institutional capital could flow next, and Polkadot’s presence says something important about how institutions are thinking about blockchain infrastructure.
Reasons this matters:
• Polkadot’s parachain ecosystem continues to expand with real utility
• shared security and interoperability are becoming institutional priorities
• capital may be rotating from single-chain dominance toward multi-chain infrastructure
If this inclusion signals conviction and not just token availability, it could change how large capital allocators view the next market structure.
Read the full breakdown on what Grayscale’s expanded portfolio could mean for the broader market cycle:

What does the Polkadot community think — institutional validation or just another listing?

Hey everyone,
Following up on my previous post where I shared the **Volatility Expansion Index (VEI)** for TradingView, I’ve had a few requests for the MetaTrader 5 (MT5) version.
I you want to know more about VEI and Tradingview Script :
[https://www.reddit.com/r/algotrading/comments/1phv4zz/the\_signal\_i\_use\_to\_detect\_hidden\_instability\_in/](https://www.reddit.com/r/algotrading/comments/1phv4zz/the_signal_i_use_to_detect_hidden_instability_in/)
The VEI is a simple ratio to spot when volatility is expanding relative to its long-term average:
VEI = ATR(Short) / ATR(Long)
**The Logic:**
* **Benchmark:** 1.2 (Default). When the ratio climbs above this, it indicates a significant "expansion" phase.
* **Visuals:** The line plots in a separate window. I’ve coded it to automatically change color to **Red** when it breaks the benchmark, making it easy to spot breakouts or high-momentum moves.
MQL5 Code:

Grayscale just revealed plans to expand its crypto investment funds with a massive list of new assets — and the composition of that list is far more interesting than the headline itself.
It’s not just a few random tokens. It’s a structural map of where institutional capital may flow in the next market cycle.
Some key patterns from the lineup:
• New-gen L1s and modular networks: Aptos, Monad, TON, TRX, DOT
• Solana DeFi core: JUP, KMNO, JTO, HYPE
• Yield-focused DeFi: Ethena, Pendle, Maple, Morpho, Euler
• AI + DePIN stack: KAITO, NOUS, FLOCK, VIRTUAL, GEOD, GRASS, 2Z
• Infrastructure bridges: ZRO, Wormhole
• Even [memecoins](https://coinmarketcap.com/view/memes/) are on the list: BONK
[Full list](https://btcusa.com/grayscale-expands-its-crypto-funds-lineup-the-assets-that-could-define-the-next-market-cycle/)
This looks less like a product update and more like Grayscale positioning itself for the next full-cycle narrative: modular chains, real yield, Solana finance, AI-driven networks, and infrastructure layers that link everything together.
Curious what you all think.
Which of these sectors do you expect to outperform when institutional capital starts rotating again?
