Apologies. I thought you meant the protocols/token themselves which are built primarily on locking CRV.
Personally, I’ve always leaned toward Convex between the 2. Liquidity is deeper.
I’ve tended to move towards pendle/morpho/etc to park stables lately. Auto.finance which used to be tokemak was in the curve ecosystem for a long time might be worth a look as well with their aggregator type autopools. YMMV

i should clarify - im not locking CRV. im LPing stable-stable on curve and wondering if i should deposit the LP token on convex or stakedao

Neither of them matter.
There’s zero reason a sane person would lock CRV now. More than half of the curve ecosystem has been hacked, the rest are useless. Even relatively new Yield basis will dilute itself out over time, and none of these actually do much for accruing fees to Crv or Crv lockers.
It’s a niche usecase (stablecoin liquidity) in the grand development scheme of crypto rn.
