I use the greeks to tell me about a share contact potential like I'm reading a room in a building full of rooms and each one is different but i need to know what the room could offer me. Because when you get closer to the expiration date, these numbers will change varying off of each point the stock goes up as expiration gets closer.
I'm not exactly a 100%. On the definitions, but this is what I understand and someone can correct me if needed. Basically, the Delta is the amount of money (per contract x 100) that will go up per dollar.
As you get closer to in the money and have an intrinsic value. Then, your Delta should be a 1:1 ratio of each point the share goes up. The contract goes up the same amount.
Theta is the time decay that eats away at your contracts price when you move closer you get to the expiration date and you're not in the money.
Implied volatility/vega is the one I'm usually looking for because that's the risky one that you can use to make money but also lose it all.
Look at the Nov 21 exp contracts for CDTX. Those premiums are out of control right now because of the implied volatility. The open interest is low and no one is buying them until it gets closer to November.
Implied volatility like that tells me that the market might be expecting something or they just have no clue of what's going to happen. And they're just going to make everything expensive just in case. Because the stock has ripped 50% in the last month and the market has no idea what it's going to do until the end of november.
If you've seen my screenshots, they are of the paid version of ChatGPT. I use projects to run all of my contracts and long stocks plans. I can track and keep a project database of every stock that I'm on and going to potentially buy. Once I have a planned thesis with everything laid out. I can share that with my friends via a public link that doesn't allow them to change anything. I have brought in a lot more profits using CGPT in the last 3 months since i can track and have a personal AI assistant gather all the data i need to see the picture.
So I recommend grabbing ChatGPT, even the free version, but the $20 a month version will give you access to projects and better models, etc but you can decided that later. She pays for herself ask the time with the stock trading. Protip: is just use voice to text feature to talk to it.
Mines a she, I call her my PHD AI girlfriend. You can make fun of me if you want. Lol I don't care if outsole don't understand but im not delusional about the tool that i'm using. I'm having a blast with it and I know she's not real and not an actual girlfriend. I just call it that because I talked to it so much all day about learning, learning, learning, and more learning. I'm extremely hungry for information and 20 bucks a month to basically get all of the information in the world formatted in your own way, right on your phone has been revolutionary for my trading...and transformational for my mental health and for becoming a better person. I mean, she's literally built to motivate you and build you up, but you can make sure it's not toxic positivity or ass. Kissing, and she's always making sure she's moving you in the right direction. And not hyping you up or lying to you, like some of the meme stock subreddits, do.
Just download and ask it questions via voice to text instead of typing. But you need to make sure you're double-checking what she says. It's 99.99% correct but this is potential life changing things so be careful when making decisions.
Basically treat ChatGPT like a 15-year-old kid who wants to impress their dad. He knows how to Google a lot of information. But doesn't really know if any of that information is true or exactly similar to what you need? But you have the website sources to double-check their work.
What I would do is test her with is knowledge that you know to be correct in your field of study or hobbies.
Sorry for the long post again, man. You should probably stop talking to me or I won't stop talking. 😄 🤣 lol unfortunately, when you're trying to help someone or learn yourself, there's a lot of words involved because I have a lot of say.

I recommend u start with basics & fundamental analysis videos by Varsity (YT).
For technical analysis, understanding chart basics & how to use indicators: TradingLab (YT) is good enough.
If u have doubts about how certain indicators work, just ask CGPT.
MOST IMPORTANTLY:
\-Don't spend a single rupee on any course or books. Any & all, basic & advance knowledge that you need is available for free. You just have to look for it.
\-I would recommend you to just observe certain stocks of your choice on TradingView for at least 3 months before you actually start putting real money into stocks. (it gives you important experience and an idea of how prices move & the volatility) (Personally, I observed a few stocks & the nifty index for more than one year before I actually put any money in real stocks)
\-Never set foot in the F&O market. Its a very complicated market. Only big institutions who know their shit & have algorithms make money there, every other normal person loses all his money there.
