You don't need a hardware wallet for only 800 usd of BTC , but just make sure you are using Blockstream wallet in ios or android and not windows to be safe . Also make sure you keep your 12 words secure and hidden and never share them with anyone .

BTC like any asset goes through peaks and lows. It will crash and reach aths many times. That a feature not a fault. When it crashes diamond hands it and ull be laughing next time it reachs ATH. Some maybe said that since your buying when its in a clear downtrend. But if your not trying to time the bottom then good for your

Reddit is full of unemployed idiots with no money and nothing else to do.
Some only care what they make this week or month, and if BTC goes down they will think you are an idiot and then if BTC goes to $200k, they will say you got lucky.
Just be good with your decisions, and don’t worry about what the trolls say…

When people say "long term" what do you mean exactly? You guys realize this is already the "long term" for BTC...

His wallet is outdated and will be at risk for quantum attacks in a few years. Devs for new wallets are already taking measures to make them quantum proof. If he doesn't move it to a new quantum proof wallet himself, a 51% consensus among miners will have to either move it to a quantum proof wallet or burn the tokens in his wallet. If nothing is done eventually quantum hackers will eventually crack the keys to his wallet and take 5% of the total supply of BTC. If they were to then turn around and sell off 5% of the supply at once, the price crash would be catastrophic. So doing nothing is a terrible option here.

Nobody in this thread had BTC in 2009. Yeah the math is "solid" if you were the 0.001% that actually owned it then, but that's it.
In the last 5 years, it hasn't even outperformed the S&P 500.

I’m still long-term bullish on Bitcoin, but I don’t think being bullish means ignoring bearish technical conditions in the short or medium term.
I’ve been building an AI tool that reads BTC market data across multiple timeframes and indicators. Right now its BTC summary is cautious/bearish, mainly because the longer timeframes are not aligned bullish yet.
That doesn’t mean “Bitcoin is dead”. I see it more as a second opinion against my own chart view. For me, the interesting part is whether the monthly/weekly structure starts improving again while the broader macro environment becomes more supportive.

I don’t trade anymore I did so much of it that I am done with it. I did sell my BTC holdings at 85-120k though so yes, I did sell. I have no interest in shorting at 63k but I wouldn’t buy neither. That is why I gave you the free advice to cut the position if you can because you gonna lose

The entire discourse around BTC is just bears with a 5 year "long-term" view and bulls with a 30+ year timeframe arguing with each other because their views are completely different.
Both are probably going to be right at some point. It's just that everyone is arguing based on different imagined timelines.

It’s It over yet. GoMining solved the biggest problem with BTC. We now have instant transaction and 0.2% fee for merchants with GoBTC Pay on chain. Far better than lightning.
Use my referral code 7DIZM or join by yourself. If you use my referral code, send me a message. I’ll give you 24/7 support.

As per my comment yesterday, BTC is a low performing asset and I have done far better elsewhere. As for taking a short on an asset which is highly manipulated by the whales, after it has already about halved in price that would be an illogical bet.

It currently operates as an investment commodity, but also has utility that is 99% untapped.
The first point is enough that governments, corporations and hedge funds find it valuable enough to own. The second point gives it a wild card aspect.
These things plus it's story has made it a legitimate investment. You can justify it as gambling, the difference between me and you is, I won't try to convince you that I am right because I know that it won't work.
A single bet on BTC might be risky, but holding fiat is moreso in my opinon. I myself am diversified, but most of my investment vehicles could be considered high risk. I made these choices, if it is gambling to you, well I say tomato and you say tomato.

Goodluck with it dude. I dont know where BTC is going either, but i hope it works out for you. I still have some of my savings in it but i have lost faith in the whole alt coin side of it tbh.
Personally i think its strayed away from its original purpose. When i pay for things using crypto, its never BTC that gets used for the transaction.
I do think putting 100% in is very risky though.
