Polymarket definitely wins on liquidity today. We're not trying to pretend otherwise. Our thesis is that Cardano deserves a native prediction market with deep ecosystem integration, community-driven growth, and a roadmap beyond simple betting markets. Liquidity can be bootstrapped with incentives, but ecosystem alignment can't. Early users are joining Ourodex because they believe in where the platform is heading, not just where it is today.
And if you're someone who missed the BTC, MicroStrategy, or Nvidia bull runs, Ourodex could be an opportunity to get involved early in something with a significant upside potential.
People love underdogs, and we're definitely one of them. Every major platform started small. We're focused on building, growing, and earning our place in the market.

If you're just starting with BTC and ETH, I'd compare a few options rather than committing to the biggest name right away. Binance, Coinbase and Kraken are popular for a reason, but I've also had a decent experience with SafeBit. The interface was straightforward, fees were transparent, and getting started felt easier than on some larger exchanges.
For beginners, I think the most important things are security, reasonable fees, and whether the platform is easy to navigate. I'd suggest creating accounts on a couple of exchanges and seeing which one feels most comfortable before moving larger amounts.

Do a small DCA on BTC and ETH as long as prices are low so you don't miss the current opportunity, but before putting any significant amount of money in crypto -unless you have a degree in finance (financial engineering/mathematics, computational/quantitative finance, or something like that) - I'd advise you to start by studying the trade of commodities, forex, and stocks. Maybe actually trade them with small amounts one pair at the same time, until you are consistently profitable for a few months at least. (or "paper trading" if you don't want to loose money)
There is a lot to learn.
Nobody is going to make a trading course on a public forum, and paid courses outside of reputed school/university are usually scams.
For crypto in particular you should be careful about the Fully Diluted Valuation / Market Cap ratio and its meaning for the considered coin.
My personal bet is on SOL, but giving a fair explanation of the reason is not easy in a comment or small post.
If you also end-up investing in SOL, stake it at least.

You say that but since 2020 my dollars buy half of what they used to. My BTC buys three times what my dollars do now.

It's what separates the men from the boys.
If you believe in BTC and understanding the technology, you won't panic.

Why do you care what other people think, man? Why are you looking for validation and reassurance?
It sounds like to me you don't hold strong conviction in bitcoin. If you did. You wouldn't be looking for reassurance and validation from strangers..
This is a subreddit rife with people who have different kind of conviction and beliefs such as buttcoiners, BTC maxis, ant crypto folks.. So obviously you will get buttcoiner comments making fun of you and stuff.

I didn’t stick $170k into it but I buy $10/day of BTC. Recurring/DCA is the way to go here, in my opinion. Hoping my older self thanks my younger self in 20 years…

A healthy market has bears and bulls the price meets them in the middle....
On Reddit
If BTC is up the bulls post..
If the sun rises from the east and sets in the west the bears post

We don't know anything and that's why we don't put all of our savings into BTC. Might as well go all in on red

During the bear market my relative fiat allocation in bitcoin naturally decreases. However I keep or increase my DCA into BTC, thus preparing for the highs on the horizon.

You can diversify in stacks. I don't think you can diversify in BTC.

You're not stupid long as you actually have cash to manage your general expenses. You don't want to dip into the BTC when it drops because you're low on money for rent or food

Path for BTC is lower into 40's maybe even high $40K. There are no reasons for it to go up in next few months.

In 10 years the algorithm that generated your private key will be broken by quantum computers… that’s the whole issue. If nothing is done you BTC will be stolen anyway. How do you think this should be addressed?

I’m also new to investing, so my biggest fails are yet to come.
My dumbest so far decisions were exiting completely from broad-market ETFs and start stock-picking instead. My current port is around 10-15 AI picks and shovels stocks.
Also there was crypto (BTC), and some stocks I’ve found in the “Value investing” subreddit, like NVO, PINS, UNH, RDDT, etc, was down around 30% on all these.
But I still made almost 3X of my original investment probably due to dumb luck and partially because of some mistakes along the way, ignoring the basic principles of investing, that led to overexposure to MU, WDC and SNDK

**Perk for EVMavs holders**: an MLB underdog picker that has pretty good results in backtesting (58% win rate) - and lets you place polymarket bets right on the site. Free for Mavs holders. [sportscout.uk](http://sportscout.uk) \- if you're browsing in the right jurisdiction you can even tail the picks on polymarket with a click.
Validated out-of-sample, not on the data it was tuned on: the model was fit only on 2020–2025, leaving 2014–2019 as a fully untouched holdout, \*and that holdout performed even better than the tuning years\* (61% hit rate vs 54%). The recent in-sample years still hold up too: after a modeled execution haircut, \~+20% ROI per bet on 2021–2025, where flat $10 stakes would have turned $100 into \~$2,700.
It's not going to knock it out of the park every week, but it did roughly pace BTC during backtesting:
* June 2014 - $100 would have acquired 0.165915 BTC at the closing price of $602.72 USD. Current value of .166 BTC is $10,612
* June 2014 - You start betting on underdogs based on SportScout picks, $10 per game. Current bankroll is $9,780 (admittedly rosy, no haircut)

Is this your best defense? It's not even true. There is a community around the single node repository that very much shapes how everyone else sees BTC.
