Some hopium if you need it because I certainly do:

We have an active [bullish divergence on the weekly chart](https://s3.tradingview.com/news/image/cointelegraph:0fa519da4094b-36dd522abc6e052377805ce559abada6-resized.webp) with a price target of $83k.
If we confirm that move, it could arm a [double bottom setup with a price target around $106k](https://s3.tradingview.com/news/image/cointelegraph:0fa519da4094b-c1bd3fee706c563acd1e1a9f89dfe1a7-resized.webp) , the neckline for the double bottom is sitting at roughly $81k now.
Doesn't look a like a good time to be selling bitcoin.

Years ago (like 5-6 years), there was a growing wave of excitement around bitcoin, ETH, and even some altcoin ETFs or similar vehicles. There was talk of national banks and reserves adopting stablecoins and making them an important backbone of global commerce. Lots of people here believed this was the proverbial foot in the door that would allow crypto to seize and overthrow our current economic systems, bringing equality and wealth, unseat the Global Elites, and blah blah blah.
I warned then that everyone had it backwards -- acceptance by Wall Street would mean the end of the crypto world as we had come to know it. BTC would become simply another asset to be manipulated, used as a hedge/relief valve, arbitraged at scale by those with the power to do so, and on and on. The mystique would evaporate, and crypto as a whole would begin to function more like a high beta tech stock for a company that technically can't go out of business, but also will never be on par with the Mag 7. Or even if it did, then it would just be a low beta, high cap tech stock. Successful, but not paradigm shifting.
So far, my analysis rings pretty true, but I suppose it's early yet. Any disagreers in chat?

BTC ATMs have horrendous spread. If you are looking for a Swiss based exchange, maybe take a look at Swiss Borg: https://swissborg.com

Yes, congrats on learning that BTC isn't a business that is for profit. You're comparing two different things, stocks and crypto. BTC is a commodity

This is so stupid, there's no BTC CEO asking you to buy any, illegal transactions happen with your dollars too, scams happen with your dollars too, this is non sense lol

You want non custodial that's what you get. And no one it talking about using BTC because no one would pay with BTC. I'm referring to stables. Ethereum is 15s at most, some chains are 1s

Yes I do, https://flips.fi/ has cross chains swaps/bridge, even includes native BTC. It’s an aggregator which means it scans the best routes to deliver the best rates

All of you are missing the point. Of course everyone should do their own research - no one is saying otherwise.
What would be helpful is pointing that person in the right direction by giving them what many already in crypto consider basic information.
Tell them that there is a difference between BTC and altcoins and also utility and meme coins. That they need to decide what they are looking to do in crypto so that they know what to research (gambling for possible instant riches/investing in projects with potential/storing value as a hedge against inflation).
Give them something they can work with without being a jerk. Share your experience without being preachy. Why are any of you even wasting your time typing out a response that is useless by itself. If you don’t want to help then just shut up and move on.

Long term no, I am not bullish.
I just happen to be a BTC miner. More for the fun of it. Building miners. Modding them. Overclocking them. Its a fun little hobby.
But in general I don't see a future for Bitcoin. It doesn't work as a currency because there is a limit to the total amount. Beacuse of that the value will go up over time. OR people will hold it instead of using it to spend. So it can't work as a currency. Even when we used gold as money people still mined more of it all the time. There is really a lot of it left.
There is also nothing backing up the value of bitcoin. Gold has the value of the physical object. The dollar is backed by the federal gov and the oil industry since Nixon did the petro dollar. But with bitcoin nothing really sets a value. Just whatever the next person will pay. So it could easily sink to zero fast.
The value has gone up over the last two years for two reasons. The fist is the bitcoin world expected trump to creat a federal reserve of bitcoin. That would have driven the price way up as the feds bought a bunch and lowered the inventory available. But that isn't going to happen from all accounts. The 2nd is that crazy guy as his company, strategy. Buying every bitcoin they could afford. That is a big reason for the surge in price. Just bought another 100 mil of it, so the price went up. The guys goal is to buy all of it I guess lol. The more he buys the more he can control the price. Its a lot like some people that tried to corner the market in a rare NES game. They bought all the copies of one game they could, just to try to make the price stay high, make their holdings more valuable. It works kinda. But probably not long term.
I do think the tech bitcoin is based on is valuable. It would actually work for an online voting system. Think about it. Everything is public. Can't alter records. But that would make voting easy. So it won't happen in the US.

I get the point, but it assumes Bitcoin's value proposition is static. If people can do more with BTC over time while preserving self-custody, adoption doesn't necessarily have to come solely from brand-new buyers...

Because it had a use case (dark net markets, Chinese peptide suppliers, other illicit items being traded) where BTC and Eth are falling out of favor with online vendors due to transparency with their transactions blockchains. You’d be wise to pull all your Eth and convert to Monero. Soeaking as someone using crypto and the markets since 2013, this is the shift I’m seeing.

67k. This is the last time I'll buy put options. Once the hype of the war ending ends (lol) or Netanyahu continues the war, BTC should start dropping.
If not, I'm screwed and I'll become the dopeboyrico of the bears

Isn't this the same guy that a few week ago that was selling? I think it was to generate cashflow for dividends, but it was spun as a scarry signal and "is he giving up on BTC" narrative.

If nano flips Bitcoin which is just as likely as Jesus to return I will admit I am wrong. I'll admit I'm wrong if ANY crypto flips BTC.
There haven't been spam attacks anymore because there's no reason to do it, just like there's no reason to kick a puppy.
Good luck my dude.

You just look for trends, narratives and decoupling from similar price action compared to BTC. A good place to start is coinmarketcap or coingecko.

Litecoin is also up 7% on 1w. They're both just following BTC. I don't see why SUI would outperform LTC on the long-term.
