I have been doing some research into $LTC and from what I can tell it is a reliable network (been around since 2011), used a lot for transactions and just seems solid overall. I understand it doesn't get the lift that a lot of other coins will because of its utility factor but I don't understand the hate that it receives on X etc.. Curious what opinions are as it seems to me like a safety play as it tends to follow the price movements of $BTC.

That doesn't exist anymore. Because a thing like Bitcoin evolves and changes overtime. There is a reason Satoshi stepped away. He was not the owner and sole owner of BTC.
He was not a sage either and was wrong about things too.
Hope you can accept it! :)

BTC's volatility teaches you humility super fast - keep your HODL stack separate from anything you'd risk at a casino.

Continue to DCA what you can afford, self custody, and educate yourself on what you’re holding. But also focus on increasing real life skills, put your best foot forward improve at work or look for ways to increase income. Life is a marathon not a sprint, continue to work hard to create a better future, enjoy each day for the gift it is, save in BTC and have patience to ride out the cycle waves.

zero. I bought BTC at 59.3k a month ago and was looking to swap to ETH if this bounce has legs.Sold my BTC for 66k and looking for a reentry around 60k, again hoping to swap it for ETH if we see strength (eg $2000+ ETH on volume).

Follow the teams behind the coins youre holding & use public sentiment when we're in bear.
Keep an eye on regular news for any crypto news report - when the average person gets a news story on crypto then we're in for a rise or drop.. so keep watching that stuff.
DO NOT follow any influencer, any crypto article, any YouTube/reddit/Twitter ---- it's all member contributed, never reported by actual journalist or team members.
That's it... I been using the same sources since my journey with crypto n BTC began.

One of the few people I know personally that i recommended to get into BTC, around 2017, that ended up actually losing money somehow was a boomer(I believe he’s 61). Dude bought like 20k worth of BTC and sold for a massive loss in 2020.
He’s very jaded towards it all because of his own actions.

Millennials are the largest home owning generation right now, but will be surpassed by Gen Z at this rate, so that probably isn't a critical factor.
They likely just don't understand BTC, and they are probably conflating stablecoins with all crypto, where there is a ton of gambling. Plus many will see an asset that went from pennies to $120k back to $60k, and if they are in retirement they want stability and not volatile assets.

The prospect of $200k BTC in the next cycle. People are greedy, the 4-year-cycle is an easy enough narrative to ignite a new bull run. Many won’t want to miss out on this opportunity, even if they make just a few bucks, they are going to pour their money in eventually.

No, it is a Bitcoin sub that doesn't censor discussion. The bCash sub is r/bitcoincash.
That said. BTC is in a sad state and bCash is lightyears ahead in all technical aspects.

I've noticed a generational gap in BTC acceptance. I'm 65yo and it seems people my age & older are at best BTC ignorant & at worst totally against it.
I know one guy, 76yo, teaches Finance & Econ at a respected university. He's also a partner in a wealth management firm. He thinks BTC is "gambling". I get this all the time w/ the older crowd ("boomers") so often that I don't discuss it anymore w/ them.
It makes me wonder how much the $price of BTC is generationally related?

I didn't experience much BTC hate with bcash holders. More core and maxi disgust than anything which is pretty reasonable.
Why hate?
