Strategy sold $544.5m worth of MSTR last week, bought no BTC and increased its dollar reserve to $3.75b. That apparently gives them 2.1 years of dividend coverage. They still own 843,775 BTC, so this clearly isn’t them turning bearish.
I know corporate balance sheets and personal finances aren’t the same thing, but there is a pretty obvious lesson here. Even the company most committed to Bitcoin doesn’t want to end up selling it just because a payment is due.
People do this all the time. Put basically every spare cent into BTC or alts, then something expensive happens in real life right in the middle of a dump. Now you’re selling because you have to, not because you changed your mind.
It doesn’t have to be complicated. Keep some money in the bank, some USDC in your own wallet or on something you already use like Aave, Coinbase or Nexo. Just enough that one bad month doesn’t force you to sell something you planned to hold for years.
Holding cash can look like wasted money when the market is going up. It looks a lot better when you suddenly need it.

This sounds like going back to the early days of bitcoin and L1 alts when everything but a CEX waited for 'Full Confirmation'.
LTC is usually under 20 minutes but BTC can take an hour.
The reasons are real, but a lot of stuff just doesn't wait any more. Or works via wraps on EVM which settle differently.
You not getting your refund would be a failure of a procedure that's probably operated manually, and definitely theft. 'losing' one customer's tokens in the wrong circumstance could be the end of the company.
At the speed of fiat and bureaucracy, you would get your refund, $1 or $1m. Or you would read articles about Trezor failing out of business. Also, three days doesn't sound that bad lol.

I hate him but at the same time it's his election win that took BTC to an ATH of 20% at 125k. I'd say regardless of his idiotic actions he's raised awareness of BTC and crypto, with some things like talk of BTC treasury positive and others like enormous financial fraud and rugpulling very negative.
But BTC hits new highs and low lows no matter who is in office or what they do. It's one of its biggest signatures. Totally agree with the above that it's not largely significant. Next president could try to ban BTC. No point predicting everything's gonna be better or worse when office changes.

In this world of constant struggle and competing in the rat race, as miserable as it is, why deprive yourself even more of the one joy that you as a human can experience... Like I mean I get it, you want to save up BTC ... But to what end? At the end of the day it's just money isn't it? Is money all that for you? For some it rules their world, which is sad. I'd rather enjoy the sentimental things in life like going on a trip with a loved one, eating a good meal, having a good laugh, then depriving oneself in order to reach some mundane my monetary goal when at the end of the day, on that day you lie on your death bed, you won't be able to take a single cent with you. So why? Just enjoy yourself and live a little

You can set the cashback to Euro or BTC. And you can also set that you want to block BTC from being used for spending, that’s what I did.
In the first screen after logon to the app click on the total amount you have. In the middle on the right there is a button called “spend order”. Press it and then drag Bitcoin to blocked.
When done click on arrow top left corner to go back and then below you will also see how much BTC you have available. If you click again on BTC you can withdraw/transfer to your Kraken account.

Bitcoin is 17 years old now. All the use cases have been insufficient and all bitcoin is now is a store of value, and i don't think its doing a very good job at being that either. I think BTC is still way overvalued.

Not everyone with BTC wants to dump a huge amount through a bank and deal with 15 years of paperwork. For smaller real life spending, I use Oobit because I can spend crypto from my phone instead of turning every use case into a full cash out process

The MAGIC Monero Fund is in the midst of a big fundraising push to ensure we get our **second fuzzing project** across the line.
We're nearly halfway to our target amount after we have made a $10,000 donation to the fundraiser out of our general fund.
Monero is fast approaching perhaps its most important upgrade to date, Full-Chain Membership Proofs (FCMP), and continued collaboration with some of the best firms in the security ecosystem to ensure Monero remains resilient in the face potential crash and exploitation vectors is paramount. But we can't do it without you.
**Quick refresher on what fuzzing is:** Fuzzing is automated testing that throws immense volumes of random, malformed inputs at software to shake out bugs, crashes, and security vulnerabilities that humans often miss. Monero gets to run these security tests continuously for free through integration with OSS-Fuzz.
**Why this matters:** the [**first**](https://donate.magicgrants.org/monero/projects/fuzzing-monero-rpc) fuzzing project (finished last year) had ADA Logics build harnesses around Monero's RPC handlers. The result was RPC coverage went to 100%, and **three real vulnerabilities were found and fixed** in the code. Those harnesses keep running and catching new edge cases to this day.
The problem is that other sizable parts of the codebase have very little coverage:
\- wallet — 5.23%
\- common — 15.87%
\- p2p — 2.04%
\- fcmp++ — 0%
This round targets exactly those gaps (src/wallet, src/p2p, src/fcmp\_pp). Importantly we would like to have this project complete and in action before FCMP goes live on the network.
**Who's doing the work:** ADA Logics again, picked because of the high quality deliverables in our previous engagement. They're a specialized security firm in this field of work and their CEO David Korczynski is a top OSS-Fuzz contributor with a PhD from Oxford. ADA Logics has fuzzed projects like Docker, Ethereum, and Kubernetes (they previously discovered a critical Ethereum vuln, CVE-2020-28362). This project will span 3 months and the deliverables include open source fuzzing harnesses along with a publicly available, detailed, written report.
