I bought BTC when it was 90.000$
I have spent about 25K USD, and since then I have not touched it. It was supposed to be left for retirement.

DCA and average down.. BTC probably won't get much cheaper than it currently is. People are expecting the 4 year cycle to play out and it's getting front ran before the expected October low of this "4 year cycle". And if the 4 year cycle holds true, next year is going to be absolutely juicy. STRC should return to par soon, and MSTR has increased their cash position to secure STRC and/or possibly buy up more BTC with it. Just DCA and let it bring that average down!

Hell no. Just stick with ETFs. BTC is a horrible investment

Good point. A taxed advantaged account and gaining Bitcoin “exposure” through ETFs cover both points ( I understand NYKNC, but if the ETFs crash, odds are it takes BTC with it). This is the only solution I see. if fiat absolutely crashes then can quickly course correct.

Forget alts. Buy BTC, inex funds, stocks, gold or real-estate.

This coin hit a new ATHs roughly 6 years ago. It didn't even hit a new ATHs from its 2021 top. Dude is asking this question in a subreddit awash with bagholders of different alts. You're better off holding S&P 500 or trying your luck at stocks picking. A boring stock like XOM and Nvidia outperformed most of cryptos even BTC itself despite BTC being one of the most hyped coin. It was publicly endorsed by a president and had an enterprise like Strategy pouring billions into it. Still. It failed to outperform a boring stock like Nvidia this cycle. Brutal.

What you’re saying isn’t accurate as far as me and what I can afford; There is no minimum barrier for entry to BTC anyway. A homeless person could buy a fraction of a coin. I don’t buy it because I like to keep my money and it’s a bad investment thst will result in you having less then what you’ve put in.
Your mindset of “you do not support buttcoin, you must be unable to afford it”, is very helpful for anyone who might see this comment later and wants to better understand the kind of tribalism that caused a bunch of people to lose all of their money.

cause i'm too busy buying on drawdowns. i don't understand the logic ... unless you honestly think BTC is going to zero this is highly irrational

People hate on Charles, but the project has been consistently building, and remained true to its core values. It has a place in the world unique to its aspirations. The recent Yoroi hack has the value artificially dampened, imo, but if BTC loses its current peg you'll get a even better entry still, if you're investing.

It's funny because people still say "no value," while there's more work than ever happening around native BTC infrastructure and use cases.

Erster Fehler Girokonto: Direkt aufs Tagesgeld!
Dann 1 BTC kaufen und mehrere Jahre liegen lassen.
Gold verkaufen.
Rest Notgroschen und sparen oder ETF.
Dann im Immo Bereich weiterbilden und die erste Immo kaufen.

To be fair, BTC is superior to gold when you look at its properties on paper. I’m not surprised it would come to that conclusion unless you guide it with your own investing principles.

I used to think that too. I think that's starting to change though, as more people explore ways to expand native BTC use cases without changing Bitcoin itself.
