BTC the biggest memecoin in the space is the future as some altcoins with genuine more usacase than BTC will die, damn. Brutal... The world is indeed unfair..

This happened to me 5yrs ago.
I had 3/4 in brokerage and I put 1/4 into bitcoin.
BTC grew over 4x while my brokerage stayed pretty much the same or grew 10-20%
If we were at the top of the market I’d tell you to sell some BTC before the next crash (happens every 4 year - it’s normal) but right now we are closer to the bottom so I wouldn’t sell.
Also your capital gains taxes would probably be insane (unless you are at a low tax bracket with long-term holding - doesn’t sound like you are at a low tax bracket but I could be wrong)
If anything, you can always use the Buy, Borrow, Die strategy with some of your BTC as a hedge and put that $ into the market to ease your mind.

hat jemand Erfahrung mit Bitpanda? Kann ich dort BTC kaufen und an ein Wallet schicken? Ich habe für 10 Euro Bitcoin gekauft, kann bei "send" aber nur an ein Bankkonto überweisen. Wenn ich 10 Dollar BTC kaufe, bekomme ich die Meldung, dass ich nicht genug Guthaben habe um zu verschicken.

I just found out two things. One that CashApp allows sending to Lighting wallets and two that the vendor accepts Litecoin...
Unfortunately for me I'm testing it out and CashApp doesn't recognize the QR code of the seller as a Lighting wallet. "Please scan a valid BTC or Lighting QR code".

How much BTC ?

This sounds like a user issue than a company being scammers. Your account of action makes no sense, why use 2 different companies and what hospital accepts BTC.

Got my first 0.005 BTC today!

The next bitcoin halving is set for April 2028. If you believe that there is a 4-year cycle and that the halving is a key date, create a written plan to take some money off the table in stages once BTC exceeds its ATH and up to the halving. The key thing is to make a written plan now, print it out and keep it in your office or bedroom. You don’t want to get caught up in the euphoria of a bull market and abandon your plan made back when the market was down.

Why would i use bitcoin to send money for an average of 5 dollars per transaction when i can just do that for free with my current currency?
Being decentralized doesnt mean anything when the currency is purely built on hype. Let me know why we dont use BTCcash, insteads of regular BTC, if you indeed want to use it as a "currency"
Supply doesnt really mean much if no one is going to use your currency, it just becomes another rare asset like a vintage watch, or a painting.
Well its been like 20 years and there are no steps being taken to make this a currency, only a hyped up asset like NFTs. Hype is the keyword, not useful.
Do i trust my currency? Why shouldnt i? If my currency fails, the whole world economy will fails. Money will become obsolete, at that point i might aswell invest in food and bricks to built a shelter.

BTC price drops below the realized price before it goes up. Currently that number is around $52k - I think we might see the high 40's over the next 2 to 3 months.

I agree with you.
But many posts and comments i read in this sub are from people who own btc and eth and they always advice on btc and eth which theres nothing wrong with it.
But they also trash talk alts they might never heard or research about or alts in general without any explanation.
If you're gonna tell me to buy BTC and ETH because they are safer and alts are more volatile, i will take it as an opinion.
But trash talking alts people talk about or ask about without giving facts on why they believe they are trash then why even comment?
Give facts and a proper answer based on facts on why certain alts mentioned in this sub are trash and ill reconsider my position on them. Not all are trash.
Yes they are more volatile, yes they mostly depend on how btc will perform. But do you know what might happen for sure? In the end its gambling for all of us. Just some bet on btc and eth based on past performances which is a safe gamble. Others bet on other coins that they might have researched a lot about or not researched at all. Its gambling with a more safe approach, an almost safe approach and a not safe approach at all.
Cause who knows if tomorrow btc might go to 0 or if alts might gain more attention or if something else entirwly happens? Nobody..
So we are all speculating. But when you comment on why you believe something is trash or why something is good you could at least give an explanation with facts not a trash or not answer...

We've owned since 2011. You say, "Yay, time to buy a little more" and you feel good about it.
What you don't do is buy when it's $10 per BTC and sell at $20 because you made a 100% profit. Sigh.
In 2026 terms: just buy and hold if you can. We've been through so many cycles. We've also done a bunch of stupid things, and now we're doing fewer stupid things. Buy and hold.

I would not sell the BTC you've accumulated, but would redirect current allocation to more favor stable investments (although DCA at these prices is attractive). BTC is 1 percent of my Investments, and though I am trying to grow the amount I hold, the other stuff grows so fast, it will probably never be more than a couple percent at best.

Are you maxing out your retirement accounts? If you’re maxing it and just make so much income you can casually (you sound casual about this) invest more in BTC than retirement, then awesome!
Otherwise you are under investing in retirement (likely over paying taxes), or don’t have it set to low cost sp500 fund or something.
It’s about balance. We would have to know monthly income and the balances of the accounts to have an idea if they are out of balance.

I went through a lot of mental exhaustion trading futures and haven't had a lot of success. I switched my startegy upon listening over and over again the last 15 months or so that there is no and likely will not be an alt coin season in this BTC cycle. Decided to move some of my capital to binance, picked an alt coin and analyzed it and started trading, did x29 in my tiny trial portfolio trading like I'd be doing big numbers. Polkadot, pretty much x15 at 15%, ONLY shorting and only catching it while it's falling after rebounds, super convervative yet super effective, Loopring was my first goldmine as it was a true shitcoin i read about in the past. $250 to $7256 in like 9 months, so I'll keep going with that.
