I would not sell the BTC you've accumulated, but would redirect current allocation to more favor stable investments (although DCA at these prices is attractive). BTC is 1 percent of my Investments, and though I am trying to grow the amount I hold, the other stuff grows so fast, it will probably never be more than a couple percent at best.

Are you maxing out your retirement accounts? If you’re maxing it and just make so much income you can casually (you sound casual about this) invest more in BTC than retirement, then awesome!
Otherwise you are under investing in retirement (likely over paying taxes), or don’t have it set to low cost sp500 fund or something.
It’s about balance. We would have to know monthly income and the balances of the accounts to have an idea if they are out of balance.

I went through a lot of mental exhaustion trading futures and haven't had a lot of success. I switched my startegy upon listening over and over again the last 15 months or so that there is no and likely will not be an alt coin season in this BTC cycle. Decided to move some of my capital to binance, picked an alt coin and analyzed it and started trading, did x29 in my tiny trial portfolio trading like I'd be doing big numbers. Polkadot, pretty much x15 at 15%, ONLY shorting and only catching it while it's falling after rebounds, super convervative yet super effective, Loopring was my first goldmine as it was a true shitcoin i read about in the past. $250 to $7256 in like 9 months, so I'll keep going with that.

I changed my name a few years ago. I'd rather foolishly left BTC on an exchange. They fucked up the name change, and I was locked of my account for over six months as they screwed up over and over again. I had no access to my coins, and ended up initiating legal action just to get them back. Never again. I buy, I transfer to a cold wallet. You never know what a company is going to do, and there are minimal legal protections if things do go sideways.

That is because institutions short BTC futures while being long on spot. That is why there was no blow off top. Get used to the new way because there will never be another blow off top in BTC as long as institutions are in it. Never heard of this? Look it up.

So, if I understand this correctly:
1) You transferred money from your bank to Coinbase.
2) On Coinbase, you bought BTC and requested a withdrawal to a [Crypto.com](http://Crypto.com) address to “someone else’s” account.
3) [Crypto.com](http://Crypto.com) won’t release the funds to this “other person” because it knows (it really does know!) that someone else sent them.
And you’re surprised you have a problem? Are you really surprised? Please tell me I’m just imagining this.

You're wrong, you can use DEX aggregator like https://switcher.finance/, it has better rates than CEX and no counterparty risk (I lost 6 figures on MEXC when i deposited BTC to just convert to USDT..)

About that fixed supply.
Can the community help me understand the following issue:
True, BTC has fixed supply, however by the nature of how BTC was made, the more time will pass, the more and more BTC will get eternally locked/lost. This is not a speculation it is a reality. Coins get lost since day one and almost never do they get recovered (including Satoshis whole stack). Users die and dont leave the keys, HDDs and seeds get misplaced or forgotten etc etc.
What happens when the supply gets to a point that majority of BTC will be lost ?
Without employing and futuristic scenario where a quantum super-computer would crack the encryption...does the network have any other mechaism of combatting this gradua reduction of circulating supply ?
Because lets be honest, sure in the short run coins getting locked/lost forever are helping all the rest of the participants of that economic system by increasing the value due to reduction in supply while demand stays constant or grows. However as with any tulip bubble, when too many coins are lost and not enough hodlers are still in the play, at that point usually the majority creaes a new system/switches to a safer alternative.

There's not much to explain...
The alt fans use, use case logic and especulative future adoption relying in the future.
The rest that only focus on BTC and ETH don't explain anything because there isn't nothing to explain either... Since they rely on past events to not choose anything besides BTC and ETH, their ALT armor hás taken so much hits that there isn't really anything left that will repair it.
Both aren't really wrong or right. It just that both bet into the future with different perspectives, one based on the past events (BTC/ETH) another based on future events like adoption (Alts).

Lesson would be to not just blindly hold on to a highly volatile asset.
I started in 2021 with the green card, used it daily, staked rebates at 12% APY at The time IN DEFI and bought more on the way down to the bottom around six cents. All in all put in around 30k euro over the years. As price went up again i was able to pull out the amount invested and had enough left for a icy card on house money. Currently i stopped accumulation of CRO and am selling weekly rebates for BTC. I certainly don t like how they treated CRO holders with the vote and 70B mint but still hope they have some plans to turn this fiasco around. If not, for me it is all house money at this point so who cares.

Since 0.179 BTC (my current holding, I continue to DCA) is a significant fraction of this, you rank exceptionally high in global wealth distribution.

Well don't sell the BTC now that you have it. Just allocate more to your retirement portfolio to get it back to where you want it. 
Also advice would be different depending on where you were at in life as far as age and retirement etc. Accidentally buying more BTC and overtaking your retirement at 20 years old when you only have $30k in retirement built up is one thing, while being 40 and overtaking a retirement portfolio that already had $500k in it is a different thing altogether. So without disclosing finer details where roughly are we talking about?

Selling now BTC to buy shares would not be good since BtC idnlow and shares are high.
But you can rebalance your dca to buy less btc and more of something else.
