1. Determine your "woah, this is serious cash" limit.
2. Look up Trezor, don't buy yet, just look it up and see what it is and how much.
3. Look up a proper and big crypto exchange in your part of the world, make sure they support transferring/sending to external wallet.
4. Make account, start buying BTC.
5. Once you reach the limit as determined by step 1, stop buying.
6. Buy a Trezor, the cheapest one should be OK, what's important is you buy from them directly and ONLY follow the instructions from official sources. Be patient, be detailed.
7. Transfer your BTC from exchange to Trezor, congratulations you now own BTC and is your own bank.
8. Repeat from step 4, if you want.

We all start somewhere. PayPal or Cash App are great to buy less than $100 and learn about BTC by following the volatility. If you’re even somewhat serious, you should be on an exchange like Coinbase where you can use a security key. If you start to really go all in, do more research on wallets.

$1 than regard as the only thing people care about BTC is trading it not larping with .001 BTC thinking they are beating the system

Except buying BTC at this point in the cycle and holding for 1+ years has always ended up in the green whereas lottery tickets end up in the red the vast majority of the time

Capital gains taxs. That's why. If you need some advices.. let me know. What does reals Rich's does? They borrow against their assets. Then spend.. if you are wise and got justified convictions about BTC going down. You can definitely protect your stack by borrowing against it, then opening a short in very low leverage.. therefore never sell is respected, you'll be taxed only on the gains from your short.. which happens to be anyways gains.. then.. after your short is closed.. either spend or re inject it in growing your stack.. but pay your gains taxs first!! Always.. and sit on a bigger stack with less cost/BTC than most people.. borrowing is cheap.. it's the tax's break of all the whealty.. and I don't see why I shouldn't be using it the same way.. be responsible as always.. borrow the least possible.. leverage your short the least possible also. But yeah.. remember that comment for later.. since that's how rich stay rich. Even with high taxs over huge gains.. they become rich through using theses calcs and models.. and they stay rich through staying in debts and out of big cash reserves. Cash isn't an asset. Remember always that.

This is an unopened bundle of 20x Silver BTC Certificates. Each banknote has a 1g 999 silver round embedded in it via a security hologram sticker. That 1g silver coin is funded with, and holds, actual bitcoin on that 1g silver coin. The banknotes are made by Caribbean Treasures and have several security features including uv ink, embossing, micro-lettering, hidden design aspects, embedded security thread, security hologram stickers, etc etc…. One of my more unique silver pieces and personally one of my favorite. Physical bitcoin silver and gold coins are a niche of our hobby that is on fire right now, market and collectible wise.

It will be too expensive to be universal without more successful layer twos. I think that large scale transactions will be more likely satisfied in BTC than a BTC based set of payment rails on L2s in millisats - but what do I know?

BTC is in desperate need for a correction. A massive dip would be a good soft reset.

Can it? Yes. Will it? No.
I said 57k was my target back in NOV 2025.
(Yes I have screenshots of those posts. They weren't here on reddit. They were on other platforms. Some are private)
Guess what... we hit 57k almost perfectly. Next is ~46k.
All the "event contracts" and leveraged trading has ruined BTC and most of crypto. There's other reasons why but I'm not typing out an essay.

You mean like you buy 3 BTC at 126k and now your just like…..whatever….. I know people that have this feeling, it’s not a loss but they don’t have funds to buy anything now….. keep holding I think…. But damn I’m so happy I bought 0.001

There is data from 2024/2025 when it was very volatile.
When Bitcoin went from 70k (Nov 2024) to 110k in (Jan 2025) and then fell back to 75k, BTCI fell below its starting price when BTC didn’t. When BTC made a higher high in October at 125k, BTCI made a lower high from the 110k top in January.
Now, this is all without having DRIP turned on.
With DRIP turned on it was very close to the same with even periods of outperformance of BTC.

Holding BTC while the largest buyer Saylor who pumped the price runs out of money and becomes a seller, is more expensive.

BTC is definitely for Rich's people.. let it be said.. but only if they got the brain to understand BTC true role in wealth accumulation strategy.. most reals Rich's does.. fake Rich don't.. if someone defined poor end up thinking and knowing what and how Rich's does. I can guarantee you that if he works for more than he is spending. He won't stay poor very long. Invest man.. it's your own way to live off everyone else that ain't have learnt the real economics.. and yes it's unfair.. and that is to be truthfully corrected by ours school's.. but guess what. They won't if you don't force them to. The rich decide what is thaught in schools. And they clearly decided worldwide to keep us slaves from our own ignorance in economics.

I don't want half of that junk. Is there a LTC-only ETF? Then I can just buy that and a BTC and a ETH one in the proportions I choose.

I agree with your point of view , in my opinion IBIT or any BTC ETF is safer than holding Bitcoin, if you don't believe me ask all those who have lost their precious Bitcoin either by a jack, sent to the wrong address or lost their 24 words

nobody can predict short-term price with any accuracy but the signals worth tracking:
ETF inflows (mentioned above) are probably the highest-signal indicator right now — when institutional flows go consistently positive for 2+ weeks, that tends to be a leading indicator before retail FOMO kicks in.
funding rates: when funding goes highly positive (longs paying a lot to shorts), that's a sign the rally is leveraged and fragile. neutral or slightly positive funding during a price rise is healthier.
exchange BTC reserves: consistently declining reserves = net outflow to cold storage = longer-term bullish signal as supply on exchanges shrinks.
macro: DXY and 10-year yields still matter. dollar strength tends to be a headwind for BTC even with ETF cushion now.
honest answer: nobody knows next month's price, but those metrics tell you whether the current move is structurally sound or sentiment-driven.

I recently noticed something that doesn’t seem right and wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this.
I have a recurring BTC buy set up on OKX. My latest purchase converted **20 USDC** into **0.00030894889 BTC**, which works out to an execution price of **64,735.63**
**At** 16:54 CST for BTC USDC convert
At the time my order executed the OKX BTC USDC spot price was around 64100 but I got filled at 64735 almost 1% higher. I know Convert has a spread but 1% for a $20 BTC buy seems crazy. A normal spot market order shouldnt have anywhere near that much slippage.
